View Full Version : We definitely need to continue Ron Paul forums...

Ron Paul in 2008

Although, it needs to be changed to a true conservative forum community from being exclusively dedicated to Ron Paul activism.

Many other political forums have been online for years and still don't have as many members as we have. Ron Paul's campaign allowed us all to mount the spirit of revolution. Now we can carry on our vigilance. This was all made possible by Ron Paul and if we do not continue the forum we let the message of the movement fly over our heads. If we change the forum to being conservative, we will also be able to recruit mainstream conservatives into the libertarian, constitutionalist and truly republican field. We can also help eachother run campaigns at the local, state and federal level. So I certainly hope the forum is changed soon before people start going back to their regular lives. I have also met a lot of cool people on here and will like to stick around. This forum can be a symbol of the conservative movement.

I know I will be sticking around.

I'll be sticking around as well...however, I do think we need to organize a bit more. Too many people starting too many websites, all with the same purpose is splitting our attention.

We will change the structure a bit after the election is over.

could i suggest a more mainstream candidate? given that he tried
for the house seat that nikki tsongas just won, and he came sorta close
to winning it, he now is happily running for john kerry's senate seat!!!
http://www.jimogonowski.com/ massachusetts is a state where ted kenedy is
the senior senator. our junior senator john kerry also has a level of seniority, too.
this dude is not waiting to oust teddy. http://www.jimogonowski.com/general/page/about
to be quite honest with everyone, i'd be surprised if kerry looses this race! sometimes
teddy kennedy did NOT have a republican opponent in his many senate campaigns!!!

the local news people are describing Romney's magnanimous speech
whereuopn he backs mcCain as the "final flipflop in his presidential
campaign"...!!! i honestly thought he'd have held back. Bush may be
pushing for party unity and maybe has his own guilts over the vicious slams
that won for the "W" the south carolina primary some eight years ago!

@Aratus - What does that have to do with this topic?

is ron paul to be on november's ballot?
this is a local race for me, and my
link is to the opponent of senator kerry...

the first posting postulates a more conservative
widening coalition as being a goal. so i opinioned
Ogonowski might be happy if some of the people
here join his effort. keeping the status quo keeps
kerry in the senate. in terms of seniority, actually
the situation where kerry GAINs more seniority
enhances the political clout my home state has.
right now the highest ranking democrat in the senate
is mr byrd from west virginia , who is in his 80s.
ted kennedy is 75 years of age, and is the next
highest ranking democrat. were kerry to loose
this contest, his opponent would be starting in
from scratch in terms of seniority. i figure that
teddy kennedy knows the system quite well, and
does like the idea of being the most senior ranking
democrat eventually. some time in the next 20 years
we in the baystate could face the situation where
both our senators lack seniority. ogonowski looks
like he could get 40% to 45% of the vote in a race
against EITHER democrat. he seems to have a chance...

again, kerry is entrenched, well situated, an experianced
campaigner and well liked. he also tends to get a significant
segment of the independents in my state. he is not neophyte!

It's much easier to turn an activist into a libertarian than it is to turn a libertarian into an activtist. :D Take the red pill.

you will see that i happily arrived in the edwards/kucinich area up above
and yes, despite saturday night live, i thought poor kucinich to be heroicly
stoic when he had to confirm inside the debate his previous and prior
comment about the UFO he and shirley maclaine had both spotted...

i did not vote for bill clinton, i voted for ross perot, despite the fact that
i had once done some campaign work for jerry brown. i admit i did
vote for gore and kerry, so i admit i could pull a lever for a democrat
again. i do not precive Ron Paul as hamstringing McCain if he's on the
november ballot. If its Huckabee at this point, which could be quite an
upset, i could see how Ron Paul could be accused of drawing votes from him.
Kerry and Gore both slammed Ralph Nader's people hard for his tenacity.
I honestly do not think Nader as a candidate and Kerry or Gore are
inter-changable. Keeping in mind what Nader recently endured, perhaps this
is a good reason for Ron Paul to back off from getting on the fall ballots
again. i speak of the man who was a candidate for the Libertarian Party...

if i get less enchanted with the two mainstream choises, i often go for
another party's candidate! i've done so in the past! narrowing our ballot choises has
us becoming less of a democracy... i'm not the only person who splits a ticket
or goes third party from time to time! i admit placing ron paul in front of the
voters MIGHT give obama a boost over mccain, whereas hillary clinton is
not given a likewise seeming boosting by this... for i feel hillary has a solid
block of supporters, the people who elected bill clinton TWICE in the 1990s...
obama is shaking up the system right now, he draws new people in. i feel
Ron Paul is tapping the anger that went Nader's way and Ross Perot's way
in the past. mcCain is such a paternalistic eisenhower clone, now so as to
make his maverick status seem to belong to an ancient era & time gone by!

constituent,

gist of my wall of text.
Kerry is our status quo
with a SENIORITY!

Ogonowski is this
new kid on the block...
he thinks he can
possibly unseat him!

HERE ARE OUR BAYSTATER CHOISES!
http://www.jimogonowski.com/
this now is our senate race!
http://www.johnkerry.com/

or again... should we all pull a lever
for a third, forth or fifth party candidate?
