Good article -- nice! I didn't know your real name was "R."

You said RP spent 3 weeks in IA. I believe it was barely over a week total, no? The week up to the straw poll, 1 day on June 30, and a couple days a few months ago. Did I miss anything?

(If we can't nit-pick at you, who will? :D )

Somewhere I saw Kent Snyder say it was 17 days total, so it was actually closer to two than three, I guess.

'This surely had an influence on the Iowan attendees, and even more found themselves in agreement with Paul’s speech, which went well in spite of the scathing, sarcastic introduction from emcee Laura Ingraham, who made no attempt to mention his strong points, as she did with the other candidates, but instead seemed so upset at being drowned out by the cheers of Paul’s supporters that she quipped, “The inmates have left the asylum”, demonstrated her lack of Constitutional and historical understanding when she mocked the letters of marque and reprisal Paul introduced to help catch Osama bin Laden, and showed her derision of the growing anti-war movement within the Republican party when she referred to their procession into the building as “the peace train.” '

That is the longest sentence I have ever seen.

Let's see if we can't digg this one to the front page too.

This is indexed by Google News, so we'll boost it to the top of their rankings by doing so.

You should have seen what the first paragraph looked like before I cut it down and broke it up. :D

Romney spent $10 million in Iowa?

That's astounding.

It's wasteful, is what it is, especially considering the return he got on his investment.

Romney spends money like a drunken John McCain.

Actually $4 million - not sure where the $10 million figure came from.

That still equates to ~$890 a vote, an outrageous figure.

He better enjoy it while he can, since he can't buy votes in real elections (or can he? :D )

He paid $4.9 million in advertising alone. Then he paid his official campaign staff, his paid "super-volunteers", his consultants, his caterers, whoever sold/rented him the climbing wall, video screens, and lighting equipment, the charter buses, many thousands of tickets, etc.

And that's not even to mention the cost of tooth-whitening kits...

You're right. From now on, I'll just let these slide into the ether.

No, on second thought I won't even bother posting them anymore. :)
