Obama argued McCain has acted like President George W. Bush on the economy and on the Iraq war.

"George Bush may not be on the ballot this fall, but his tax cut and his economic policies are... that is a debate that I'm happy to have, because the American people know that Bush's policies have not worked for ordinary Americans," Obama said.

Obama said he was surprised by McCain's recent criticism of his economic policy - direct criticisms McCain started in the last few days.

"Economics is not his strong suit," Obama said with a smile, "he said 'I don't understand economics very well', and after he said that, it shows."

Obama told the audience that he believes McCain's economic policies would be "more of the same" of Bush tax policies - and argued McCain's position has undergone a transformation since running for president.

Seriously, how did we not win this thing (or at least still be in it) with 35million dollars to spend on advertising???

I don't care if the MSM didn't say a damn word about Dr. Paul.. they couldn't keep him from buying up massive blocks of 30second TV spots and filling that space with "straight to the point, no bullshit, highly persuasive and on-the-offensive" ads..

Anyways.. there it is

Reagan Commandment. Don't talk ill of other Republicans. You can talk TO them, but not of them. I believe Ron Paul follows that rule.

Attacks on McCain are not effective when they're coming from a socialist.

Does Obama know any economics either?

Obama doesn't have a clue... He couldn't even say what the Bush economic policies were. Just that they are "Bad" policies and we need "Change".

Not at all. It appears there is not one candidate (Paul aside) who hasn't taken/passed a high school economics class.

Ron Paul is not as interested in attacking others as he is in promoting his ideas. I think that is his character and while it may not make him the best politician it does make him a great man.

Exactly. I don't understand how people can vote for this guy when all he does is talk about change without providing specific policies or even DEFINING what it is he is changing from.

Now, be fair to Obama; he isn't just about "change". He's also going to have "hope" to pay the bills

And if all else fails, as he ramps up the national debt by $200bn every year and the Chinese say the USA can't borrow any money, he will simply chant in their faces"Yes We Can".

And when it all collapses, they'll turn round and say "capitalism has failed".

Posterity will damn them, and likely exalt Ron. I fear, though, it will take hundreds of years for historians to figure it out - their understanding of economics is normally as bad as either McAmnesty or Obomber.

Ron Paul didn't like Reagan after Reagan became president and increased government spending.

I just head on CNBC's Kudlow's show that Obama had some kind of long economic speech today in Chicago. The guests were shocked in disbelief at the size of his proposed spending. If someone has a YouTube or recording, please post.

HQ wasted our money. They should have run GOOD national TV ads the moment they had enough money.

Last quarter they only spent $3 million on TV advertising.

I would like to know how so much of that money was used....the only RP ad I saw or heard was during the YouTube debate.

wtf... only 3 million?... instead of having 6 million left over he should have spent 90% of his money on advertising in iowa or new hampshire

Obama DID point out that Bush has blown trillions on a pointless war in Iraq, which has hurt the economy.

Not saying Obama and Ron Paul see eye to eye by any means, but pointing out flaws in the Bush administration is like shooting ducks in a barrel- Bush's screw ups are considerable.

Bush's problem is that he hasn't spent enough. Obviously.
