And the people who think that American Idol and news about Heath Ledger's death are the most pressing concerns.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS???:confused::confused:

Folgers itself will become a useful commodity to use as currency. Coffee historically has become a sought after item in times of scarcity and economic upheaval.

I've started using my savings to buy gold and silver. I set aside a bit from each paycheck to buy a small amount of bullion. If you do the same, you should be in good shape come depression time.

Of course, to do this, you also need to invest in a good bolt down safe, but I already had one for my GUNS (OMG).

Get ready for hyperinflation.

Don't worry about inflation. The MUCH bigger problem is deflation. That's what Japan has been suffering for almost 2 decades. I suspect the Fed may be worried about that, because they were too slow to act in 2007.

Imagine if prices of large ticket items start coming down. You'll wait! Then everybody else does the same and prices fall further in a vicious circle.

A little inflation 2-3% is perfect and generally, the Fed adjusts the fine balance of interest rates to keep it at around that.

Things in Japan got to be priced ridiculously though. That was bound to happen to them.

deflation is the symptom of a deeper problem, namely that things are overvalued to begin with.
