While watching TV today, I saw about 5 commercials for Hillary and 3 for Obama reminding me to vote on March 4th. I haven't seen any RP commercials :(

The Meetup group in Corpus Christi has started a PAC and are taking donations to put TV ads on the air 10 days before the primary. Everyone who wants to help RP win Texas should donate if they can, or at least spread the word.

They're still airing in Colorado or where you in Texas at the time?

The folks in Corpus Christi need to run the ads YESTERDAY and not wait until 10 days before the election....... Paul is polling at 6% in TX (http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/politics/entries/2008/02/15/texas_poll_has_clinton_up_mcca.html) and we've seen state after state that waiting until the last minute to advertise simply does not work.

In the Dallas area, I have not seen or heard one single commercial for anyone, but got an automated call from Obama's wife last night.

Wondrering if there are sneak attack ads?

Glad to hear he's running lots of TV ads down there but I'm also curious what the ads are like. Any of you Texans care to fill us in?

the folks in Corpus Christi trying to raise funds to run TV commercials need $$ (http://www.texansforfreedom.com/).. they're already running radio spots and have raised at least $2000 above what is showing on the chipin.

I have still not heard or seen one Ron Paul add in the Dallas Texas area... meanwhile, on the way home today, I was scanning the talk stations and Huckabee was scheduled to be on 2 different radio shows doing interviews. Around the same time, of course all the stations were talking about all the candidates except Ron Paul... Clinton's daughter hit 3 college campuses today and Obama had a rally in downtown Dallas that drew in over 17,000 people. I also heard a commercial for Obama on the radio.

All of this with a 20 minute drive home from work on multiple stations.

Now, I realize, the mainstream media has written Paul off.. but this is more than that. Where are the Ron Paul commercials? where are the rallies? visits? interviews? I realize he visited Denton near Dallas at one small campus, but that seems to be about it? Where is the Ron Paul campaign money being spent.. on signs? well haven't seen any of those either.

Not trying to be a bummer, but it kinda makes me angry... are the people running the campaign just not good at it or have they given up or what? Maybe they are just concentrating on the Austin/Houston areas? Hell I don't know, just posting what I'm seeing/hearing.

All I've seen/heard in Dallas is Obama ads on TV and radio.

I live between Tyler and Dallas, and haven't seen any yet......

BTW, the tried to get me to take off my Ron Paul hat today when I was voting..........
I told them I would take it off, if they gave me a reciept for the vote I was about to cast for Ron Paul. LOL, they didn't say anything else.

I thought that was a pretty good trade.

The sad/shocking thing is.. the Paul campaign supposedly bought $700,000 worth of ads in Texas (http://www.dailypaul.com/node/36849) and if I heard Lew Moore correctly on the precinct leader video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=raImHkFzIMM) they've already finished running. 700k isn't much for saturating a state as big as Texas... especially for an unknown candidate.

At this point if you want to see Paul do well in TX you're going to have to support the Corpus Christi TV ads (http://www.texansforfreedom.com/), the TX edition of the Ron Paul newspaper (http://www.ronpaulnewspaper.com/), and other grassroots efforts - and NOW, and BIG.

What are the ads like? Anything on the fact that he's the only candidate for president who opposes the NAFTA Superhighway?
