What if we could organize a bike ride to DC? If we could get enough interested and a route established, I bet we could get a lot of publicity since a group of bike riders always get attention. :) (And by bike, I mean bicycle).

My legs would be sore by the time I got out of Las Vegas (and I live in Las Vegas) :D
How long does a journey like that take the average shmo?

i'll ride mine. let's see... if i'm really cruising, i could maybe do 5 mph. if i rode 12 hours a day, it would only take me 38 days to ride the full 2,266 miles from my house to DC. not bad. just gotta make sure i know the date a month and a half ahead of time so i can start riding.

I can walk 5 mph for 12 hours a day. Figure 12 mile mph on a bike. That's less than 16 days. And at 15 mph its 13 days. And at 18 mph it's 10.5 days. Remember after the Rocky Mountains its down hill to the other side of the Ohio River.

I'd definitely join a National bike ride to Washington. And by "bike", I mean motorcycle. :D

Cybloo, I am up for this idea for sure, and my brother in Madison would be too. On bicycles of course.
