I'm in Cali, for all those not on the East Coast, what are some creative ways to get to D.C. in an economical fashion?

Jet Blue is usually about $280 round trip from Long Beach to Washington Dulles. This is also a non-stop flight and you have your own private TV with 36 channels. Jet Blue - the only way to fly.

+1. Utilize the trains. There is a train station right smack in the middle of DC. You won't have to worry about parking. Just take the subway(Metro) to Capital Hill. I think there is one that runs on the hour to NYC and Philly.
