These numbers indicate a rising interest in RP:

698 Meetup groups, 28000 members, over 4000 waiting
ronpaul2008.com reach, rank and page views reach alltime high on alexa.com (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?url=ronpaul2008.com)!!!

Take the spontaneous actions of Ron Paul supporters and the growing popularity of Ron Paul on the old media and you have all the things you need for a surprise in Ames.

Many of you pointed out that articles about RP have changed. He was a longshot, maverick and dark horse, but in recent articles his positions are reported on. Reporters write about earmarks to discredit him but that is already taking into account that RP stands for small government and less spending.

Then there is Ronstock, RonPaulRadio, RP goes multimedia! I think a lot of endorsements are waiting to come out if RP continues to rise to serious contender status.

Ames is important to go on to the primaries and RP can't come in last but there a lot we can expect...

if each one of those 28,000 would just give 25, that would be 700,000... We need more people to donate, I know everyone can give at least $10...

Look at these trends in August 2007 on Google Trends for "Ron Paul" versus the others.

http://www.gc1.net/images/google_trends.gif

http://www.google.com/trends?q=%22ron+paul%22%2C+%22mitt+romney%22%2C+%2 2john+mccain%22%2C+giuliani%2C+%22fred+thompson%22 +&ctab=0&geo=US&geor=all&date=2007-8&sort=0

If you follow the link, you will see how many users from IOWA have typed "Ron Paul" into Google, versus all the other candidates. It is 50X more traffic searching for "Ron Paul" than all the others combined.

When you look at a longer time frame for the graph, I think you'll see we're now at the third highest page views--still impressive!
