My cousin and I are RP supporters all the way. We slammed down the vote early. Our district is a big Dem stronghold, though.

By the time we did our stuff, we were the 3rd and 4th Ron Paul Republicans to vote. And, while it may be a bit premature to say, Ron Paul's got 50% of the vote here. :D

Dh and I both voted, too. Our precinct was pretty dead- maybe it's the snow/ice we're expecting. My precinct is very rural, though, and mountainous.

I also just voted today and it seemed like it was a very weak turnout ,but that may be because I went at 8.I know we got at least 42 votes in my district.

A weak turnout would be great. Everyone should stay home thinking that McCain will win it, so the RP supporters can turn out in droves and take all the delegates!

I voted, and so did mom :). Turnout from a small town was about the same as it was for the last congressional election....just the line wrapped around inside the polling place instead of outside it; too cold. :D

I voted at about 8:45am... I live in a rather small town in VA.

There were only 5 people in line in front of me.
They all took a Democratic ballot.

The Democrat voting tickets pile sitting on the table was much shorter than the GOP ones, indicating more people are voting for the Dems in my precinct.

I asked the lady if I could vote more than once for my guy since he's going to need it.

She was humorless and said, "no sorry".

Ron Paul was first name on the ballot. Happy to see his name right on top.

Enjoy

We might surprise a bit in Virginia. Maybe double the polls.

Voted for Ron Paul today in Chesterfield County, VA (just outside Richmond). Pretty high turnout and mostly democrats.

Did you notice Fred Thompson still being on the ballot? It hit me when I was walking back to the car. LOL

Oh, and I passed around Ron Paul flyers at my Mosque, so hopefully Woodbridge will have a decent showing for the good doctor.

I just voted at 1 pm. My precinct was deserted and the total ballot count on the optical reader machine was only 627, indicating a very small turnout. Weather is crummy here, west of Richmond.

I'm up in the thick of NOVA.
For weeks, the only road signs I've seen were for Dr. Paul, and an occasional Obama.
You wouldn't believe how many showed up overnight for all the others!

I had to wait 20 minutes to vote. I felt out what everyone else in line was doing, and it seemed like they were all democrats. Which is good. But I'm not hopeful, since NOVA is one of the nerve centers of the Military-Industrial Complex.

The wait was longer than I expected, but I know we have at least 2 RP votes. I'm a little bothered by the fact that most of the candidates were still listed on the ballot and that, at a meeting this morning before I voted, someone said they thought RP wasn't running any more. I clarified that issue with them, but worry how many RP supports might not vote RP. It was nice seeing RP at the top of the ballot though.

Well I know of at least 6 people who voted for RP today. When I voted the place was packed. When the other 5 voted their place was empty. Most of the day RP signs were the only ones you saw at the polling place. I guess some Huckleberry fans got a little upset,so they placed a few signs up in between ours. But we still have the last signs posted and Huckleberrys signs are white and you can barely read them--except for one.

I don't know how to do that quote thing. Any chance you can lay your hands on some of the family farm slim jims before you go?

Weather was cold and rainy; voter turn-out was lite. Saw only one sign, and it was for the Huckster.

Got in, voted for the Dr., got out. Bada-bing, bada-boom!!!!

I went to vote at 8:00 after I got my daughter off from school - in a small town near Charlottesville. There were a couple Obama signs and I put up my Ron Paul sign. I voted on a nasty Diebold machine with no paper trail. I checked in a few times during the day, talking to voters about Ron Paul, and when I was backing out of the parking lot, another car with "I Love Mike" "Huckabee" on the window almost backed into me, so I tooted my horn. It was a couple old ladies, which surprised me because I thought all the old people around here wanted McCain. I asked the guys at the polling place, and they said there were a lot more Democrats voting than Republicans.

Voted in Richmond today. There was somebody there handing out Ron Paul slimjims. There were several signs for Clinton, Obama, and Paul. 1 sign for Huckabee. 0 for McCain.

Used a WinVote electronic machine. Never heard of them but at least it's not Diebold. Their website is hideous (http://www.advancedvoting.com/index.php) and has a bunch of errors on it, such as "Warning: mysql_result(): Unable to jump to row 0 on MySQL result index 12 in /home/virtual/site174/fst/var/www/html/main.php on line 28". Bad sign.

Anybody from the Danville/Halifax/Martinsville area vote for Dr Paul? I'm originally from Ringgold, VA and was wondering if his message has caught on out that way in rural southside VA. (I live in Los Angeles now) Hope so!

Niicce RP4EVER.. glad to hear it. i came back into Danville over Christmas and tried to talk some of my old friends into RP, but nobody had ever heard of him, and most of them were too lazy to send in their registration and spend 30 min. today voting... it blew my mind. thanks for supporting Paul with your vote today!

No worries; i started spreading the message as quickly as I could; but I got a late start joining the campaign trail. Most Danvillians could care less.
