LISTEN, he said 3-4 months... June 21st is too late!!

Lets do the math for everyone just to make sure there is no fudging.

today is 2/11,
one month = 3/11
two months = 4/11
three months = 5/11
four months = 6/11

Looks like 6/21 is about 10 days too LATE

BUT thanks goodness we still have 6-7-08 which is perfect because MOST college kids get out mid May. AND it is just under 4 months... RP's limit from his video

End of story...

That was a very dubious suggestion he gave. He said before the convention which is in September.

I think the Gay Pride thing will scare away our more religious supporters.

Also the school question is not for college, its for people with kids in elementary/high school.

Might need to use another name since Constitution Day has already been used for another date. But it is still a good date.

Can you stop being divisive and insulting for one goddamn moment big-post-count newb???? Based on your post history the answer is no. Look at your calendar and honestly tell anyone that June 21 isnt more than 4 months away from February 11. We all need to come to a decision on this day and friggin fast.

The Tea Party was ten days late, too. This is good, kids are out of high school and college, people can get summer vacation time off from work, I like this date . . . And it's the summer solstice, it'll be nice and long.

He said anytime before the convention.

Finally! A voice of reason. Simply put...it just needs to be before the convention. You all need to really think about what Dr. Paul said. He wants us to show our numbers. I would think all of you would be for the LATER date since it gives more time for people to plan...and it also gives us a couple of more days to convince other people to go. Hi...my name is reality...have me met? Not everyone is going to get to attend. That sux...but that's the way things goes. You all will be fighting for months about a stupid ass date if someone doesn't take charge. ALSO...Dr. Paul did not specifically say it MUST BE 3 or 4 MONTHS TO THE DAY. Some of you are reaching and just being ridiculous about..."ooooh the 10 days is too late." pfffft. How is it too late? Dr. Paul said the march needs to happen before the RNC. Um, well the 21st IS before the RNC.

I personally will not go if it's on the 7th because I already had plans. But if that's what the majority wants then hurry up and set that date and start promoting already...this is a MUST so ppl can start chartering buses, reserving flights, etc. If you all decide on the 21st...I'll be right there w/ya=) But PLEASE! stop the bickering...it's nauseating.

I say take the 2 dates to Dr. Paul and let him pick one. end of story.

I agree - this is a great date from a marketing standpoint. I also think it is high time we make our OWN date! We don't HAVE to pick a date from history! We are going to MAKE history! We want people to remember this date as the date of the Ron Paul Revolution March! This is the knockout punch for the campaign, and the day WE announce our presence to the masses. This date WILL allow us to accomplish all of these things. Some of the other dates do not.

AMEN!!!! You should make this statement a seperate thread. I can't believe that some cannot see the advantage of WAITING a month or too longer. RON PAUL HIMSELF SAID THAT IF WE DO THIS IT NEEDS TO BE DONE RIGHT!!! Patience people! It will come - and it will be worth the extra wait. Taking the decision to Ron Paul is a good suggestion too.

We the people in order to form a more perfect union and
honor the ratifying of the Constitution two hundred and
twenty one years ago by our founding fathers as the creation
of a base law for our federal government of the United States of America,
do ordain and establish a peaceful march on Washington D.C.
Saturday June 21st, 2008 in order to re-establish the principles
of Peace and Liberty that once we held high and to demonstrate
that Americans want a government that is governed by the people,
for the people, and in the best interests of the general welfare.

I have posted this elsewhere but here it is again as it pertains to this thread.

We need to focus on helping with this election. If our march does not have an impact on this primary election it is a waste of time here is a list of the states still to vote and the dates.

March 4, 2008
Ohio primary 88 Delegates
Rhode Island 20 Delegates
Texas 140 Delegates
Vermont 17 Delegates

March 11, 2008
Mississippi 39 Delegates

April 22, 2008
Pennsylvania 74 Delegates

May 6, 2008
Indiana 57 Delegates
North Carolina 69 Delegates

May 13, 2008
Nebraska 33 Delegates

May 20, 2008
Kentucky 45 Delegates
Oregon 30 Delegates

May 27, 2008
Idaho 32 Delegates

June 3, 2008
South Dakota primary 27 Delegates
New Mexico caucuses 32 Delegates

Any date after June 3rd has no real value. What do you plan on doing storming the Congress? You need to think this one through.

RonPaulVolunteer
02-12-2008, 10:49 AM
Luft97, it will be near-impossible to pull this off on June 7th let alone earlier. And if you watch Ron Paul's video again his instructions are explicit. 3-4 months. Not 4-5 month like some here want to do. He's not worrying about doing it before those primaries and nor should so. Anyone who wants to do it outside his 3-4 month time frame really need to get their ego in check. As if some historical day takes precedent over Ron Paul's request. It's time to follow orders, not do what we think is best.

April 19, 1775 - The first day of the War of Independence a/k/a Revolutionary War

The day of the "Shot heard round the world" –

The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War. They were fought on April 19, 1775.

For some months, people in the colonies had been gathering arms and powder and had been training to fight the British, if necessary, at a moment's notice.

The night of April 18th, Paul Revere rode through Concord warning everybody about the British attack. So when the British came in to take and attack the Rebels, the Minutemen, Americans who were"ready to fight in a minute," were waiting to attack at Lexington.
"Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they want a war let it begin heres" said Captain John Parker, commander of the Minutesmen.

The first shots were fired just as the sun was rising at Lexington. The militia were outnumbered and fell back. Other British colonists, hours later at the North Bridge in Concord, fought and defeated three companies of the king's troops. The outnumbered soldiers of the British Army fell back from the Minutemen after a pitched battle in open territory.

More Minutemen arrived soon thereafter and inflicted heavy damage on the British regulars as they marched back towards Boston.

Following this the following states would still need to vote:
Pennsylvania - 4/22
Indiana - 5/6
North Carolina - 5/6
Nebraska - 5/13
West Virginia - 5/13
Kentucky - 5/20
Oregon - 5/20
Idaha - 5/27
Montana - 6/3
New Mexico - 6/3
South Dakota - 6/3
Convention in St. Paul - 10/1 - 10/4
