March Date Poll:

http://www.vizu.com/poll-vote.html?n=75139

I think "Theft" day (April 15th), and here's why:

Why April 15th?

1. We are already working on a MASSIVE international strike/march for April 15th.

2. April 15th is before at least 8 states vote!!

3. It is neither too soon nor too far out

4. We already have the websites setup to take pledges. LibertyTax08.com and RonPaulMarch.com

5. We already have videos, emails, and other things surrounding a BIG stand on April 15th...all we would have to do is move it to Washington.

I love skeet's idea for the June 21, 1788 (http://www.brainyhistory.com/events/1788/june_21_1788_44185.html) U.S. Constitution goes into effect as New Hampshire is 9th to ratify.

Ratification of the Constitution.

A Constitution March on Sat., Jun 21, 2008!

I think it's too soon.

Take a look at this site:

They have already started the groundwork for this, and they are doing it right!

I like Saturday April 19th. The day the American Revolution started back in 1775.

On April 19, 1775, British General Thomas Gage dispatched 700 British troops commanded by Lt. Col. Francis Smith to Concord, Massachusetts, 16 miles northwest of Boston, to seize munitions that the Patriots had been stockpiling. Word of the British departure from Boston was quickly spread by Paul Revere in his famous ride, and by the time the British reached the village green at Lexington, through which they had to pass, they found 70 Minutemen waiting for them under the command of Capt. John Parker . When ordered by the British to disperse, The Shot Heard Round the World was fired and the American Revolution was begun.

For an earlier one if that one is too late:

The day the Constitutional Convention Convened!:

A possible suggestion: May 25 (a Sunday--the day before Memorial Day Holiday): 1787 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1787) - In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia%2C_Pennsylvania), delegates convene a Constitutional Convention (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Convention) to write a new Constitution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Constitution) for the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States). George Washington (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington) presides.

It's more than 90 days away. It's in the middle of a three day weekend, but not on a holiday. It's about the Constitution--about taking the first step in creating it. It's after the kids are out of college.

June may be later than some want, but it allow the MASSIVE number of college students to participate who helped in this effort all year...

June is good for families, and it is good for college students, and it is much nicer weather for events. It rains much of the spring up here in the north east.....June is my pick.

A lot of people like April, but it is bad weather usually, and college students in many forums are saying they will NOT attend if it is in April.

Agreed. We need to think outside this forum.

May 25 meets all our criteria, and ties perfectly into Memorial Day in DC!

April is too early unless its very late April. Why?? college students such as myself are still in school.

I think some date in May and even 6-7-8 are better options.

GET APRIL OUT OF YOUR HEADS!

No college student is going to travel anywhere in the middle of finals month. NONE OF THEM. I don't care what symbolism you can find in April it's worthless if no one shows up.

We do not need symbolism

678 is the best date and it's the most marketable ordinary day.

I think school being out is a big issue for a lot of people.
