St. Mary's University has a proud tradition of civic engagement and a
history of providing our students with opportunities to participate in
the political process, including through campus visits from candidates
and elected officials ranging from Ronald Reagan to Kinky Friedman.

The next such visit to St. Mary's will be by presidential candidate
Hillary Clinton. Senator Clinton will host a "Solutions for America
Town Hall" on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 in the Alumni Athletics &
Convocation Center's Bill Greehey Arena. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
for the pre-program event. The event is open to the public, and the
campus community is invited to attend.

In the past St. Mary's has hosted former Presidents Ronald Reagan and
Gerald Ford, former Vice President and presidential candidate Walter
Mondale, presidential candidate H. Ross Perot, U.S. Senator and vice
presidential candidate Lloyd Bentsen, Texas Governors Ann Richards and
Rick Perry, as well as gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman, among
many, many others.

Parking Information:

While every effort will be made to minimize the impact of this event on
the campus, some parking will be affected. Lot T in front of Greehey
Arena will be closed all day Wednesday beginning at 8 a.m.

She's trying to hit the Tejano voting block.

It's very...well surprising that this was kept so hush-hush. But then again, RP's campaign is very open.

We had a group of middle-aged, over weight, women campaigning here for Hillary.
Except they didn't know what for!
They said in their words, "We don't know what we're out here for, but we support Hillary because a woman can clean up a man's mess."
