Stats, Milestones in Internet Campaigning

My brother is doing a paper on the history of Internet Campaigning and I was wondering if anybody knows of sites that may have info/stats on this subject, not just Ron Paul, in general the current and past presidential campaigns.

I suggest getting the "Mousepads, Shoeleather, and Hope" about the Dean campaign, even though he is a total socialist, he paved the way for future internet campaigning.

well internet communities aren't that old, so there isn't much from past campaigns... I don't remember anything from 4 years ago at least and there couldn't have been much of anything in 2000
