Yes. You're slow. You bump a thread so it will go to the top of the forum list.

Oh my, here's my answer to what a bump is. Someone aught to write a book on internet-lingo.

bump

(a.k.a. "blump", "blimp", "bumpity", "blumpity", "blimpity", "blumpalumpa", "blumpalumpadingdong", "blumpity blimp bump", "blimpity bump blump", "bumpity blimp blump", and "troll!")

*edit: also, "//" = bump

There is a dance called "The Bump." I think. When that part of the song comes up, you bump your partners rump with yours. No relation to this bump I assume.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that! Why oh why would anyone bump this thread?!!!

Because it answers a current question I had. I took a little journey to see the very first topics and posts in this site. I was curious. I saw that this one answered my question, so I replied. It's that simple.

They have: Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/) is really quite helpful to understand abbreviated lingo.

And yes, old thread is old. Some things are timeless.

Old car is old.

Also roomy, comfortable, reliable and drop dead gorgeous.

Is that an old Mercedes? And you are right. Drop dead gorgeous.

You know, in my journey into the past topics and posts, I am seeing not much has changed.

Better. She's a Packard. Specifically, a '53 Carribbean. Don't remember Packard? The Military Industrial Complex killed Packard, along with the other automotive independents back in the 'fifties. If you wonder how, ask and I'll start a thread on it.

And if you enjoy timeless, have you seen this thread..?

Yes, I remember Packard. When I was a boy, our neighbor had one.

"The Military Industrial Complex killed Packard, along with the other automotive independents back in the 'fifties. If you wonder how, ask and I'll start a thread on it." I think that would be a good thread. I would enjoy that. I often wondered what happened to those old companies. So please do start another thread. I'd appreciate it.

Just to mention a bit of Forum Etiquette, if a person wants a thread to be on the top of a list, they bump the thread by simply putting the word "Bump" as a post, but it is usually best to only do so ONE TIME, at least until someone else replies to the thread.
