I am very frustrated with what I am reading around here. Folks are talking about voting for Huckabee for some grand scheme that I can't understand.
I have been reading for MONTHS on this board about how frustrating it is when folks vote for the lesser of two evils. I am so frustrated when ever I run into people in public that say they like Paul but don't know if they can vote for him because he can't win. This is not the type of thing I ever expected to hear from folks on this board.
FOCUS people. We need to vote for Paul on Tuesday, we need to vote for our delegates (http://www.ronpaul2008.com/states/maryland/list-of-delegates-alternates/). We have the chance to pick up a good portion of these in several districts. Each congressional district is worth 3 delegates.

I'm here to vote for Dr. Paul. Isn't that the whole point? I haven't been devoting my time and money to anyone else and I am not about to start now.

I noticed that confusing "plan" about Huckabee and was a little ticked. We're in this for the long haul! You can count on my support, Rich.

I damn sure didn't register as a Republican, sit in the hot sun for three days at the Monkey County Fair, push for votes at the straw poll, write letters, make phone calls and wave signs only to turn around and vote for Mike Huckabee. Tuesday morning I'm voting for Ron Paul!

For God's sakes vote for RP. This stupid convoluted scheme to get a brokered convention by voting for Huckabee makes no sense. It would give RP even less of a chance of getting anything because he will not have any popular vote to back him up.

My plan is to be outside my poll ALL DAY in the snow/sleet/freezing rain trying to convince voters to support RP. If I come across anyone who "strategically" votes for Huck, I will punch that person in the face. I WILL NOT tolerate you neutralizing my hard work in adverse conditions.
That is all.
Vote Ron Paul!

If you're for Ron Paul, vote for Ron Paul (http://people.ronpaul2008.com/campaign-updates/2008/02/11/if-youre-for-ron-paul-vote-for-ron-paul/)- by Dan McCarthy from today's campaign blog, the Daily Dose.

I have been waiting with great anticipation for this day to come and now we are only 10 minutes away from the 12th, the day I FINALLY get the cast my vote for Dr. Paul and when everyone I have worked so hard to convert in my area gets to vote for Ron Paul. I will be damned if I am going to go cast my vote for Huckabee after all of this. I will never choose between two evils again!!!

First the facts, noone ever suggested you MD supporters vore for anyone else but RP as MD shares the delegates so that would be really stupid. So love the passion and the news that noone else was putting up signs, I think they do make a difference, not least because of the adsence of the opponents.
Now to the logic...
I noticed that confusing "plan" about Huckabee and was a little ticked. We're in this for the long haul! You can count on my support, Rich.
If Ritchie you are indeed in this for the long haul you would logically support any tactic that didn't hurt RP to prevent their being no long haul. If McCain wins VA by 1-2% and thus all the 69 (is it?) delegates the long haul just went 'poof' up in smoke. If however he loses to the only viable contender in this race, Huckabee, by 1-2% we can open champagne and the loss of 1-2% will make no difference to RP's chances.
I, or none of the people suggesting this sound tactical strategy that I have noticed, have ranted against those that disagree or want to put passion and principle ahead of tactics, so please (those few ranters) return the same courtesy and if you want to argue study the argument carefully and argue against it logically.
Jump ahead and tell me if McCain gets stopped by 1% that you will be angry with VA RP supporters who tactically voted for Huckabee. They will have swallowed their pride and a bitter pill with a result that RP is live and kicking over the next few months, and his delegate influence can't be ignored in the media in a hung result. I believe the RP supporters in Washington State who say they will win the delegates and we have a chance in the primary, this will all mean zero if MCCain grabs the lot in VA abd DC and a majority in Maryland. But it will be huge if he hasn't AND the campaign's tactic of hiding delegates that prevented a "RON PAUL WINS FIRST STATE" headline, to be a total failure. As some think now anyway, it would have been better to have had the headline, as we haven't had one the whole long road so far.

Sorry for the mistakes I just noticed in the text, but its well after midnight here for this Aussie RP supporter (I became a RP fan while spending two months in the states just recently)...part message, part the man and part the media crucifiction.

Having the backing of the popular vote means a lot more to this movement than some extremely far fetched idea that mcCain, and huckabee delegates are going to switch to RP on the second ballot at the convention. They are not going to switch to the man that only got 5% of the vote. It would be a fight between Romney, McCain and Huckabee.

Thanks... As you are an Aussie, please stop trying to influence our election with such ridiculousnesses.
