Ron Paul was the candidate in 88... I would say he's pretty serious.

And since the party was pretty much useless at running a national campaign due to the political system which is not going to be altered to suit them anytime soon, Ron left politics for a few year and returned to the Republican party, where he can actually be involved and get things done.

I agree We need to Vote Libertarians and Constitutionalist into the system and take down this monopoly of evil. Problem is all the money might be to hard for people to turn down. I know I could because I have certain values most Americans lack but the problem is we need people like that.

The LP party candidate is better than the REP and easily the DEM nominee every year. They just don't get media coverage in this 2 party country, hence the reason their candidates aren't "serious".
