Mark my words, this is no coincidence. This is a higher power telling us something.

That we need to go to Minnesota?

That this is the deciding place.
Indeed, we may need to stage a large march or rally at the convention.

Only a 3 hour road-trip for me! I'm in!

Has it always been held in St.Paul? If not, maybe it is a sign.

No, last time (2004) it was in New York.

Oh wow. Well, God doesn't leave his followers in the dark - he always gives us a sign.

The GOP is looking for 8,000 volunteers for the convention. If this isn't a heaven-sent opportunity, we're not gonna get any messages. :) Look at this:

recruit more than 8,000 volunteers, who will perform key duties and play crucial roles in the areas of transportation, information services, hospitality, and special events during the week of the convention.

I don't believe Dr. Paul has any chance of getting the nomination at this point. However, I am willing to travel from the State of Washington and join up with thousands of other people to express my 1st Amendment Rights as a Republican.

It is the fault of the Republican Party elders that they "picked" McCain and rammed him through the nominating process. If they find out that the party is opposed to them and is going to fight them tooth and nail, tough luck for them. They chose the path to failure, not us.

Has anyone looked into the permit process if people plan to actually march? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard they want people to have a "permit" for any group larger than 25. It also looks like the city will start approving permits around March 1st and that is only a few weeks away. I know the anti-war and left-wing groups were having some issues with getting permits.

Free is right though. Volunteering is another option. I've signed up a few weeks ago and still awaiting a response.

OK, I'll look into getting a permit right away.

Unfortunately, I don't live in Minnesota, so if anybody from that state reads this I would appreciate it if you would contact me.

OK, according to that link March 1st is the earliest we can apply for a march, not the latest. It is suggested there that we file at least 60 days in advance, so we have until July to do this now.
