What? This is when they would start counting in California.

I'm not normally one to believe in the rabid conspiracy theories we often find around here, but if this is true, it doesn't pass the smell test. It's 8:36 PM there! Unless there are issues getting the totals reported, I can't think of another reason to suspend counting.

Is there anything we can do about this, or are we screwed?

They need time to rig the vote?

The state GOP website says the next update is at 9:15 PM

it's not like they are counting thousands of votes right? There were just a few delegates for each precinct right?

According to the website, the next update will be at 9:15 PST.

I dont expect the counting to resume tomorrow (Sunday) so consider 78% as the final tally in the media. Any counting done after that won't be reported. They really are manipulating this whole process.

Bigvick
02-09-2008, 10:40 PM
This is incorrect - The GOP websites says 9:15PST will be the next update - It will probably be the last one..

MattMinnesota

So they counted and reported all the areas where McCain did well so they media can say "right now McCain is the frontrunner in Washington" and then never revisit the subject again? Great.

IllMortalD
02-09-2008, 10:40 PM
I saw that too. I have a feeling that they are either trying whatever they can do to rig the vote or they are postponing the results because of a Paul win.

Ex Post Facto

Let's hope that is the case Bigvick.

It is very interesting that CNN hasn't reported the county by county results. If all of the counties except the pro-Paul ones have been completed, it would be too obvious that the news is being filtered.

If anyone knows where the voting is being held, let's go congregate outside and "urge" that counting continue.

They gotta get all their fraud in order so they don't get caught. This is an outrage!!!

They're stopping the counting for the night because they'll be done after the next update at 9:15PST. No conspiracy here.

Wow, I have to be on all of your tails.

The reason they have stopped counting is so they can miss the news cycle tomorrow. It won't be in the papers. Thus it doesn't exist. And by Monday, we'll be paying attention to Britney.

News cycle management. Remember this tactic.

If that was the case, why would they announce they are "stopping counting"? That makes no sense.

The way that Fox announced this was not in that context blaumittwoch. Why wouldn't they announce the same thing for the others.

They are not stopping counting for the night. Fox is wrong, surprise surprise.

Also, this is only the beauty contest part of things. The straw vote, and not the actual delegate results. The various counties will be assembling their precinct delegates over the next few weeks.

As usual, the lamestream will misrepresent the results, ad infinitum...

Lets keep our eyes and ears open in Washington to get the results ready when they come down.

Nope. First time I've seen it. And noted it as such on the timeline with a screengrab.

They did it for Colorado. I think it may be just too much hassle to update counties live. Look at it in a couple of days.
