Seriously... I don't know what to think here.

Thousands of ballots being cast for the presidential preferential primary in Washington State are invalid because voters aren't checking an oath saying they're a Democrat or a Republican.

Secretary of State Sam Reed says some of the people have just forgotten, or may be purposefully skipping voting in the presidential race and voting on special elections being held in 36 of the state's 39 counties.

But he thinks many are protesting the requirement that they declare themselves a Democrat or Republican for the Feb. 19 election.

In King County alone, elections officials say that of the 120,000 ballots returned so far, between 20 and 25 percent did not check the oath on the back of the envelope.

Well, it's obvious that the WA GOP has kept tabs on the forums, knows that RP supporters generally DO NOT READ and capitalized on the situation.

I just noticed the other thread about this as well...

I was so flabergasted that I just posted it. Sorry for the duplication.

Still, it just boggles the mind to realize how hard our fellow citizens are blindly fighting against their own freedom. There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

It says that it is 20-25% of the 120,000. A lot of these (per another post) were military and early ballots.

In all fairness, the back of the envelope is NOT the place for this. It should have been at the top of the ballot.

You know if some of us were to pretend as though we support Huckabee...I mean getting a shirt or poster or something...It would be a good way of finding out information on these dirty little tricks. Because other Hucksters would probably approach you and inform you about this stuff.

Read the article. Those are votes for the primary that isn't until the 19th. The primary and caucus are two different things. I can't understand why this article is getting mixed up in the caucus vote.

There's no such thing as an early voting ballot for caucuses, so these must all be for the primary.

Exactly. How many times is this going to be posted then shot down. THIS IS FOR THE PRIMARY AND NOT TONIGHTS CAUCUS.

I think some people are here just to get the rest stirred up.

That is for the primary, not the caucus. We have both here in Washington.
