RONSTOCK LIVE on www.RonPaulradio.com ...

Ron is going to be there from 8-9 PM CDT... RPR will get an exclusive interview after his speech...

There's lots of excitement in Iowa! I've talked to my people, and they feel it. Iowa is burning with it.

Ron's tent is in a good place at the straw poll. There's lots of foot traffic around the area, and with everyone's excitement and positivity... people will feel the energy. RPR will also be broadcasting directly from the RP campaign tent, so be sure to tune in for that too!

Ohhh... this weekend is a big one for politics!!! Iowa hasn't been this much fun since...... (FINISH SENTENCE!)

"I strongly support Ron Paul. We very badly need to have more representatives who understand in a principled way the importance of property rights and freedom."---Milton Freedman

I just hope all the wonderful supporters out in Ames right now know that they'll attract more folks with honey instead of vinegar. Whenever they say something to an undecided, I hope they think, "What would Dr. Paul say?".

In many ways, I see the confluence of so many of the fears that "fringe Americans" have held over the last few decades coming together this election cycle. I mean, admit it, many of the things like national I.D. one world government, erosion of Habeas Corpus, executive orders...it's like a smorgasboard of nightmares that we used to think only whacko's worried about.

HAHAHA... "U2 must be here!"

No man, it's DIO!

Wonder if we could get Ronnie James to play a RP benefit? If you've never seen Dio live, it's really, hands down, one of the best shows you will ever see. LOT of fun. Great rock and roll time.

yup... I don't mind hearing these things in private, but not on a radio program where many regular people could be tuning in on. Gotta keep it clean ;) that granny lady said something about muslims, then the host said...anyway *changes subject* lol

hahaha I noticed that too. I was like "whoa...easy granny"

Meh, lot of Joe Americans are using those type of words these days:
.

Ive never heard "Masonic" or "NWO" mentioned anywhere but on the internet. If I went to my monthly GOP meeting and said either of those words OR if I said that to a potential voter on the street, they'd look at me like I was Cuckoo for Cocoa puffs

You can talk about suspending Habeas Corpus, PAtriot Act, etc. without sounding like one of the paranoid computer geeks on the X-files (the Lone Gunmen)

National ID cards, Posse Comitatus, denial of Habeas Corpus, internment, over reaching executive orders, military-industrial complex, world government...more and more of that "whacko fringe stuff" that's been whispered about for decades are becoming mainstream...

What in the above would you consider to be "whacko fringe stuff?"

Good grief, some of this stuff was discussed openly in the 1950s! LOL

It's fear, it has many names but it's all about fear.

And I completely understand why a person's fear becomes vocalized when asked about a movement that represents a long sought respite.

And in the 70's and 80's and 90's it was "whacko fringe stuff" along with talk about black helicopters and the fear of jack booted thugs.

Canaries in the coal mine are often under appreciated. It's a continuum. You act like talk of that stuff has always been "alright' that's simply not the case.

Most people would have called you a nut case for not trusting your government. Suddenly, in the last 7 years...things have changed. We are now talking openly about things that were "fringe" 10 years ago.

Kuldebar,

National ID cards - current issue

Posse Comitatus - current issue

denial of Habeas Corpus - current issue

internment - WWII (not to mention Haliburton Hilton, but I ain't mentioning it)

over reaching executive orders - You been paying attention to the White House lately? Can you find it or are the Googles broken tonight. Maybe they're all tied up in those Interweb tubes?

military-industrial complex - DDE warned against it.

world government - This is no secret. What do you think the NAU/EU and that new agreement that Bush signed a month ago with the EU is all about?

Please help me to understand WHAT, exactly, in the above list is "whacko conspiracy theory?"

NONE OF IT, that's what!

I guess I'm a little touchy. All this stuff is so darn mainstream now, it's not even funny. Even my mother's friends get the above list! ;-)

And you have completely missed the point. I use quotations marks for a reason.

NP, and I completely agree with you, I was just talking about how perceptions change, what's often considered "whacko" by mainstream grudgingly becomes accepted truth after some time.

Those examples I used should be fairly noncontroversial facts now with most people, that's why I used them in my post.

Yeah, that's why I was FREAKING OUT! After dealing with people who think that Florida and Ohio were won fair and square and "please prove the NAU" the past couple of days, this one sent me over the edge, for real.
