OLYMPIA, Wash. - Thousands of ballots being cast for the presidential preferential primary in Washington State are invalid because voters aren't checking an oath saying they're a Democrat or a Republican.

In King County alone, elections officials say that of the 120,000 ballots returned so far, between 20 and 25 percent did not check the oath on the back of the envelope.

This is early voting for the primary that is on the 19th, not the caucus tonight.

I'm sure that McCain and Huckabee voters were told there was something on the back of the card they had to be sure to check. RP supporters probably never got the memo...

Absolutely...what do you mean you didn't see the invisible ink and didn't know the secret code to write in?

What a joke. I'm sure they'll find some way to screw Ron Paul out of it.

I wonder if the party officials stamp that instruction on the envelope AFTER they receive the vote.

the oath is in small text on backside of envelope under the flap. It took me a min to figure it out.

If someone would have pretended to support Huckabee going in, he may have been told. We need to remember this. This may be a valuable tool in finding out information for future elections.
