The "unofficial" page still has the disclaimer at the bottom claiming it is paid for by The Washington Republican Party. The owner needs to report this to the Washington Republican Party as an inkind donation, which they have report to the FEC.

If he does, and they go along with it, they are complicit with the "endorsement". If he doesn't, he is in violation of FEC regulations.

The graphics (at least) are probably copyright protected. Someone should seriously check into this. And let's find someone to challenge him in his home district, this would be an easy win for a Ron Paul supporter. Remember, we must start grabbing power at every level, Ron Paul cannot do this alone.

whats up with the 12.7 % that is left in WA and one site is already (CNN) claiming that MCcain won the state. thats retarded. whats the actual numbers for WA because this is happening again. Look at louisiana, Montana, Minnesota, now washington, anywhere RP has significant chances of taking a win or a good 2nd places has been bombarded with problems. Only pointed out by RP supporters, we need the media to actually pay attention. The local affiliates for Fox and other MSM stations sometimes don't have much loyalty to there bigger counterparts. (plus they produce local news.

The BOE is who you should be contacting if you do contact anyone. As far as the rest its all about information dissemination.

MrZach

Hopefully something can be done about it!

MrZach

Here's the email I sent to the WA GOP:

TO: comments@wsrp.org
CC: patrickbell@wsrp.org

SUBJECT: Your website is being SPOOFED

Just wanted to let you know that someone created a fake Washington GOP website under the address: wagop.org

Upon visiting that site, users will see the real wsrp.org website, but the title of the webpage reads:

~ ALSO VISIT ~ www.MikeHuckabee.com ~ Republican Candidate For President

This is what tipped me off that this was not the REAL Washington GOP website.

I did a WhoIs Domain Name info search to find the culprit's name and information. Here is what it turned up:
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=wagop.org

Registrant Name:Gary Conner
Registrant Organization:GOPDomains.Com
Registrant Street1:7102 Mardyke Lane
Registrant Street2:
Registrant Street3:
Registrant City:Indianapolis
Registrant State/Province:Indiana
Registrant Postal Code:46226
Registrant Country:US
Registrant Phone:+1.3175491709

Further investigation shows that he is a GOP candidate for Indiana's House of Representatives in District 95:
http://indyusa.com/GaryConnerForIndianaStateRepresentative.htm

There, he makes the claim, "I am a Huckabee Ranger" whatever this means... Either way, I do not think this kind of unethical activity represents the GOP very well. I hope you are able to do something about this.

MrZach
02-10-2008, 06:28 AM
Here is the email I sent to Mae Dickenson (IN state representative, Dist. 95)

I am a bit puzzled. I stumbled upon a campaign website for Gary Conner who appears to be running for your seat as the District 95 State Representative of Indiana.
http://indyusa.com/GaryConnerForIndianaStateRepresentative.htm

However, I did not see him listed as one of the candidates on the list provided by the Indiana elections website.

The reason I stumbled upon Mr. Conner's name is because I was investigating a SPOOF website for the Washington GOP, of all things. Mr. Conner is listed as the owner and administrator of www.wagop.org. This is NOT the real Washington GOP website, but if one were to visit this site, it would display the information from the REAL website (www.wsrp.org) making it APPEAR to be the real site. Not only is this fraudulent, upon visiting the website, the title of the website that appears in your browser reads:

"~ ALSO VISIT ~ www.MikeHuckabee.com ~ Republican Candidate For President"

This is pretty bad stuff. Here is the information provided by a WhoIs Domain Name search on www.wagop.org:

Registrant Name:Gary Conner
Registrant Organization:GOPDomains.Com
Registrant Street1:7102 Mardyke Lane
Registrant Street2:
Registrant Street3:
Registrant City:Indianapolis
Registrant State/Province:Indiana
Registrant Postal Code:46226
Registrant Country:US
Registrant Phone:+1.3175491709

I am guessing you represent this gentleman who seems to be carrying on this unscrupulous activity. Perhaps something needs to be said to Mr. Conner about modifying his extremely low level ethics.
