running 3rd party was never even an option... he said so himself numerous times... what was his most asked question on tv???
i dont know why so many were surprised...

he said he would keep fighting for us but that didn't mean run independent

he is in it til the end as a republican nominee so why should anyone give up? there are still a ton of states left and still a ton of deligates to get elected.

This is great! No one needs to stop a damn thing! We need to keep on the MSM for their blatant lies! We need to keep pushing the Republican party back to conservative roots! We need to keep spreading the message of Hope, Liberty, Freedom, and Prosperity!

All the sacrafices we have made, all the late nights, door knocking, phone calling, Everything needs to be kept up! The meetup groups need to continue to meet! The march on Washington needs to happen! The Revolution needs to go to the streets!!! Frrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeddddddoooooooooooommmmmmmm!! !!!

We need to recruit someone to run as a true conervative and carry Rons banner. I think the revolution should send a formal letter to Judge Napolitano. After reading "A nation of sheep" I am certain he is one uf us.

At the risk of being politically incorrect: it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings. I think McCain is about to be 'swift-boated' by several different groups and organizations from Rolling Thunder to the anti-illegal immigration groups. Some of the veterans groups will, no doubt, get behind the Huckster but there's simply no where else to go for the anti-illegal immigration folks. This war is NOT over by a LONG SHOT. Stranger things have happened in politics than us getting this to a brokered convention. Keep your chins up and KEEP FIGHTING to spread the message of liberty!!

Some of us have been singing this tune for many years now and many more are now joining the chorus. With each passing day, more and more are picking up the tune and our message is growoing louder by leaps and bounds.

This is NOT a time for quitting or slacking off. I think we have all heard the rallying cry of Liberty and now it's time for those who still aren't paying attention to hear OUR war cry!!

In for the long haul because I want my children to grow up free!

Screw the degenerative Republican Party. It's corrupt to its f---ing core. You mean your going to let a huge void grow and develope in the movement from early spring until the election in November? Your going to let the movement for freedom and liberty splinter into a hundred pieces? Ron Paul always said it was up to the people. P E R I O D. ! If Ron Paul is not on the ballot, even if he doesn't run an active presidential campaign, (because the grassroots will), I think we are damn near sunk ! So if the people rise up and demand Ron Paul run as a 3rd party, Ron Paul will have no choice. Now, he can be inactive or highly active or somewhere in-between. But by God, I will pray and I will strive to see Ron Paul on the November 2008 Presidential Ballot. All bridges behind us be f---ing Burned !

I've voted for Ron Paul in 2000 and in 2004 via write-in. I'm insulted that anyone would do anything than work harder in this campaign. We are having more impact right now than at any other time in the freedom movement. We are causing change within the Republican party. The grassroots need to take more initiative so that Ron can spend some time in his home district. From here on out the "rEVOLution" will be in charge of the presidential campaign and HQ will be taking orders from us. Every state we can continue to place above 5% in is a major moral victory with tangible real world impact.

Suck it up and march on soldiers!!!

Despite what people say about me, I'm on board with the revolution. Ron Paul's Presidential bid is over. I support continuing to spread the message of Ron Paul, getting him re-elected into Congress, and getting more Paul like people into Congress. People here seem to think that if you accept Ron Paul doesn't have a chance to become President, as Paul himself has said in his latest email, that you shouldn't be a part of this movement. I strongly disagree. After all, Paul himself has said that this movement should continue beyond his failed Presidential run. We need to keep fighting.

there are many people who cannot support the republican party. Ron Paul is committed to the republican party. This does create a certain challenge. For instance I just posted this on another thread and then read the new message from Ron Paul.........

"Personally, I think the Ron Paul Revolution should be the foundation for a new party!! It should draw from the other freedom and liberty parties/movements, those who are sympathetic to and will support what RP political ideology. The RPR needs to establish itself architecturally as an organization. It needs to evolve further. Organically. It need not assume an old form (mechanical). It need not be hierarchical or have one center.

That would probably be the most difficult task....creating a new (grass roots) organization (from the ground up) based on liberty and freedom . In my mind that means a dynamic and open system. I think more and more of us should start educating ourselves and start thinking out of the box on how to do this."

IMO Another element has been added to the challenge. How to accomplish the above without competing with /diminishing what Ron Paul wants to accomplish.

Ron Paul having a congressional seat in congress resulted in no changes to our foreign policy, infringement of civil liberties, or monetary policy. He was ignored and often voted alone. Going back to that congressional seat is not why I sent him money or spent time supporting him. He needs to run 3rd party in order to set the GOP straight. Either he'll win as a third party candidate or he'll prevent the GOP from winning with liberal John McCain. Either way he can demonstrate to the GOP once and for all that it can either move back to its conservative base or become irrelevant. Ron Paul is in the perfect position to win a third party run. McCain is hated by Republicans. Hillary is hated by everyone. Now is the time.

jeff43
02-09-2008, 03:51 PM
It's a 2 party system and we just have to accept that if we want to make any impact. Ron Paul knows this and that's why he ran as a Republican to get into the Congress. Can you imagine what would happen if we got enough people like Paul into Congress? They'd be an important voting block for the Republican Party and they'd have to start promoting our ideas or the Democrats would control everything. Work within the system to change the party. This is what Ron Paul has done for 30 years.

I agree about a new party but the people that the Libertarians are running have no chance. We must recruit a well know, proven conservative, libertarian minded person, who has little personal ambition but has the credentials to win.

I think that person is Judge Andrew Napolitano. The book he wrote "Nation of sheep" is amazing. He endorsed Ron Paul while being a Fox News contributor (which means he has some seriouse balls) Hes constitutional and has the credentials to win. He is a better speaker then Ron and instead of just having one candidate to work for (Ron in the House) we can have two.

Seriously if you look and learn from history and from our Founding Fathers.... and what true conservatism stands for ... and "the Republican Party" stood for ... there is NO reason to start a third party. Ron is completely correct! The NEO-CONS have lost their way!

IMHO... I think our revolution needs to take back the Republican party! We have far too many socialists (aka ... MCWAR among tons of others) who have taken this party in the wrong direction!

Even though I have been a lifelong Republican. I was thinking the same thing. Our morals, ideas and thoughts (as Paulites) are not what the party is doing lately.

I almost want another party, a Freedom party. But it would be so hard to get elected to any postion as a 3rd party. Liberterians aren't even automatically on the presidential ballot on half the states in this country...!

So my idea would be this, since the Republicans are loosing voters faster than anything. We are now a new wing of the Republican party. We take more and more voters from other parties, and end up taking control of this party...and steering it back where it belongs...
I'm not good with snappy namess, but we need a name to describe us.
It's embarresing to say I am a Republican with McCain and the other War Lords being the current face of this party..
