I posted this as a response in a different thread. But now I'm riled up, I'm surer than ever that we're on the right path, that we're going to the convention, that we've got a shot. Why? Because there is no other choice.
You want a pep talk?
Here:
Ron Paul is still running for president.
Ron Paul can still take the White House.
How? Through us, and our effort, just like always.
Ron Paul must win in 2008:
To end the occupation of Iraq.
To prevent the invasion of Iran.
To stop using depleted uranium.
To bring our troops home.
To save the economy.
To restore our civil liberties.
And on and on and on.
This is our chance. It's not over.
Everyone needs to stop running around like it's the end of the world.
Reread his letter tomorrow when you're feeling less wound up. He's talking sense - he knows this is a long shot and he doesn't want to lose everything, so he needs to focus on his congressional run too.
That makes sense. That makes sense any way you look at it.
It is our job to prevent McCain from getting the nomination.
It is our job to pull victory from the jaws of defeat.
Nobody said this would be easy.
The only thing different between today and yesterday is a single email from Dr. Ron Paul. He didn't drop out. He didn't quit. He spoke the truth, just like he always does.
And if he's not quiting, why are you thinking of it?
The man has stood strong for a lifetime. The man has done so much, and to think people are ready to drop and run over a primary, or a email, or whatever skyisfalling crap we're facing today is laughable. We are in this to win this. We're going to face worse, and we'll get through that too. And we're going to get stronger. Leaner.
