I am pleased to announce that Barry Goldwater Jr. has joined the Founding Board (http://ronpaulambassadors.com/foundingboard.asp) at Ron Paul Ambassadors. The lifelong work he has done for our cause, his political experience and the business savvy he brings to our organization will be invaluable and I am honored that he has decided to join us.

Jason Barrick (TVMH on Ron Paul Radio) has joined our Advisory Committee (http://ronpaulambassadors.com/advisorycouncil.asp). He brings us a long-standing love of liberty, his optimism and a variety of experience with the grassroots movement.

Currently, Ron Paul Ambassadors is the staging ground for an ambitious new project to create a national organization that will engage in education, activism and advocacy on behalf of Freedom and a Constitutionally based American government. Ron Paul Ambassadors is not the name of the organization. The organization's legal groundwork, logo and website are currently under development. The organizational policy statement will be crafted by the members of the Founding Board and the Advisory Committee. The Founding Board and Advisory Committee will also select our organization's first educational initiative. With your support we hope to launch soon and begin spreading the message of freedom.

I thought someone was already gonna make this.

Oh, it was me.

Someone also owns Ron Paul Foundation, I think it was Bradley.
We should combine our efforts.

I have talked to a lot of folks but not a Bradley..if you have his information put me in touch. There is certainly room for more than one group doing what this organization is doing although so far the groups I have spoken to have different goals than ours.

This is not going to be a Ron Paul Foundation that is completely based on him as a man or a presidential candidate. Its emphasis is really Constitutional government, and how the Federal Government should carry out the tasks they are allowed to do (so a Ron Paul Platform) and then we will support Ron Paul and like minded candidates indirectly by educating the American people on the underpinnings of the freedom platform and directly by doing some advocacy.

Yes we do. Our whole plan is to market freedom, economics, humble foreign policy as consumer products. Friendly, approachable, well-packaged and then draw people to a wonderful educational site with several different levels of additional information for each educational campaign.

Not to be a bummer, but isn't this the same as the Republican Liberty Caucus?

I am not very familiar with them at all. I looked at their site again for a couple minutes and a few things jumped out instantly.

~They are directly affiliated with the Republican party..we will be non-partisan. We do not want to segregate ourselves by political party.

~They are a PAC so contributions are limited and those who contribute will be reported to the IRS so they do not exceed their limit. If things progress as currently planned we are going to be structured legally so that we can take virtually unlimited funds and we do not report our donor's names to the IRS.

~They seem to be a place for people who already have heard of them and know what they represent. Our primary goal will be reaching out to Americans who do not already know the importance of these ideas with engaging and high-quality educational campaigns. We are not a think tank and we will not be just a club for people who are already part of the movement. We will have memberships and activism but educational outreach will be our key goal.

~They do not have an informative, user friendly site that would appeal to complete neophytes to our movement and to thinking about economics, foreign policy, etc...

Have you guys been in touch with Bob Barr and Bruce Fein? I think the two organizations could benefit from each other?

http://www.americanfreedomagenda.org/index.html

The American Freedom Agenda’s (AFA) mission is twofold: the enactment of a cluster of statutes that would restore the Constitution’s checks and balances as enshrined by the Founding Fathers; and, making the subject a staple of political campaigns and of foremost concern to Members of Congress and to voters and educators. Especially since 9/11, the executive branch has chronically usurped legislative or judicial power, and has repeatedly claimed that the President is the law. The constitutional grievances against the White House are chilling, reminiscent of the kingly abuses that provoked the Declaration of Independence.

The 10-point American Freedom Agenda would work to restore the roles of Congress and the federal judiciary to prevent such abuses of power and protect against injustices that are the signature of civilized nations.

I think ya'll should contact them.

It looks interesting. Their last news/activity ppears to date to mid 2007 so they do not look particularly active but I will be sure to read further. I certainly want the new organization to form whatever alliances it can and be of assistance to its fellows wherever possible legally.

Don't worry, I do plan to contact them. :) I have been in personal email/internet/phone contact with many individuals in the last three months about their forward looking work to start newspapers, television, radio, organizations that run campaigns for candidates, think tanks and will continue to do so. Staying connected to each other is the only way to grow in strength.

Hey, I'd love for this organization to be "THE" organization but it's a free world and I can't block other people from working on similar things. I will say that I have been approached by a lot of people within our movement and it looks like we will be able to unify a lot of people with this organization.
