A spokeswoman for Giuliani derided Paul's latest comments.

"It is extraordinary and reckless to claim that the United States invited the attacks on September 11th," Maria Comella said in an e-mail.

"And to further declare Rudy Giuliani needs to be educated on September 11th when millions of people around the world saw him dealing with these terrorist attacks firsthand is just as absurd."

The further he digs into that "they hate us because of our freedoms" manure, the better.

A Giuliani campaign official could not confirm whether he had read any of the books on Paul's list.

Haha, i bet they can't...

Dealing with or assisting? Helping the after event victims or gaining profit because of the event?

This guy is stepping on a landmine right before our eyes - fun IMO.

I see it like Mr. Hultberg...

There is no more lethal combination of flaws for a man to possess than ignorance and arrogance, Mr. Giuliani. The man who most glaringly demonstrates this combination today sits in the White House. And unfortunately with your ugly smear-mongering during the South Carolina debate, you showed true American conservatives that you possess the same lethal combination of ignorance and arrogance that dominates George Bush.

Giuliani is dumber than I originally thought. He's not going to be happy till he alienates all his supporters.

Sounds like a good pro-Paul documentary title : "Educating Rudy" it could go over the radical foreign policies of NEO-CONS, how the party was hijacked..etc

Reuters is the MSM, togetter with Associated Press. Thousands of sites put their news on their own, including Yahoo! and stuff.

So if I asked a New York cabbie about terrorism, I should take as gospel truth everything he said because he was on the ground? If Giuliani didn't do it, someone else would have been the mayor there.

I guess you missed the interview when he mentioned that he's been studying Islamic terrorism since the '70's.

No, really!

That's just hilarious, he has been studying Islamic terrorism since the 70's... hilarious... nobody had ever seen a Muslim back then, especially not one that blows himself up.

His only supporters now are republicrat neocons. The "Christian right", and any other independent thinker, or strict conservative voter will not be taking guiliani seriously anymore.

Rudy is nibbling at the bait. All we need to do now is show enough weakness to lure him into a televised debate. Go to debateronpaul.com and sign the petition. Rudy reminds me of Elmer Fudd. I'm gonna get terrorists. Shhh.. be verrry quiet, I'm hunting terowist. Loook! Terowist twacks, twapped in their own twacks. hahahahahaha............. Someone needs to do a cartoon......hahaha

Christians who support Ron Paul need to wake up fellow Christians to what GB's real motives are. I was fooled too. We need to humble ourselves and admitt it.

I'm just glad it's coming to light. The media and periodicals seemed to glorify Guiliani as their little poster boy. It was very sickening to me. I am very happy with the way things are going. I'm sick of all the fear-mongering. The GoP party has been trying to terrify the people for way too long. This invisible terrorist propaganda has to stop. For a while I was wondering if anyone had learned anything from the McCarthy era.

Giuliani meant that he's been studying how to create an Islamic terrorist since the '70s.

As I've said...Giuliani knows Ron is right, but he also knows that Americans haven't a clue.

He also has DCI ad people telling him to just keep repeating the one-liner..."It's absurd to say that Americans invited the attacks."

Ron should create his own one-liner and just keep repeating that to Rudy.

"Mr. Giuliani...Reading Is Fundamental."

That is such a LAME comeback. Completely dodges the question of cause and twists it into a question of dealing with the affect.

First a straw man ("invited the attack"). Now a non-sequitur. Hopefully before this is over Guillani's camp (double entendre) will run through every fallacy in the book.
