Petition for Release of John McCain's DD-214

We should form a grassroots movement urging McCain the release his military records.

I would be interested to see him openly release his DD-214. Hell... EVEN John Kerry realesed his military records for public download on his campaign website. ;)

Why Did McCain Block Release of POW Info?

McCain's ace in the hole is the rock solid support his former POW status engenders from veterans. Why, then, did he single handedly block the release of MIA/POW records? In doing so, he thwarted a 401-0 vote in the House and left families of MIA's stunned. Why? A new documentary narrated by Ed Asner explores this question and reaches the apparently compelling conclusion that McCain's motivation was to suppress his own records. From this, they move to speculation about what is in those records. I can't speak to the veracity of that speculation because ... we don't have the records. Whatever conclusions we reach on the latter front, McCain should be compelled to squarely address his suppression of these records. I am in. We need a full page usa today ad with this info on it. We need to add the bill he just placed before the senate giving free health care to MEXICO! paid by us citizens (whom most have no health care).:mad::eek::mad:

He's not on their 'most corrupt politicians' list, but they are really into exposing corruption in D.C.

Huh? There wouldn't be anything in his DD-214. All it has is general administrative information including awards, type of discharge addresses and dates. I would like to see his OERs though.

Okay, whatever it is, you military folk are the experts here. I'd like to get those records released that he managed to put a halt to in the Senate. That's the real scandal here.

Thanks, I am looking into the possibilities right now. It may be difficult because FOIA rules apply differently because of his POW status, however he does hold public office. I'll have to make a few calls. Nevertheless McCain should be compelled to release all his records to end any speculation about his record and if he intends to unite the party and gain support from military veterans who have serious reservations about him. We will need strong effort to confront him on this, perhaps by proxy of the media networks who knows.
