What do you all think about this?

Could she (at least indirectly) help the Ron Paul campaign?

Could this be another sign of the American people taking back our country and our government?

Not a fan of Cindy Sheehan. She wants to run against Nancy Pelosi because she of one decision. You shouldn't be running to be in Nancy Pelosi's shoes so you can overrule a decision.

I can't help but feel bad for Sheehan, but what are her other politics? We certainly agree on ending the war immediately, but we don't know what else she stands for at all, or at least I don't. Has she said she was considering the run, or are other people just punting the idea?

I don't either. I figured she'd just look to Ron Paul for guidance. ;)

Honestly though, if she does win, she at least seems to be more open-minded (perhaps...maybe...heck if I know) than many other members of congress. I think that the average American (as long as s/he has sufficient intelligence and passion) would make a far better member of Congress than most of the politicians who run for office.

I heard her say herself that she's going to run.

Sheehan is a blithering idiot.

Sheehan is a blithering idiot.

This is also true.

She's had her eyes opened in possibly the harshest way as to how the two-party/single-agenda political system hurts the US. This could play well. If she decided to run as a "Ron Paul Republican" or on an LP ticket, that'd be really exciting.

I'm certainly interested in hearing more about her policy ideas beyond Iraq (cause once Ron Paul wins, that won't be an issue anyways...)

Cindy Sheehan's son's corpse would make a better congressman than Nancy Pelosi. More power to her I say.

Here's a link to her opening shot, back in July:

In addtition to the obvious war stance, she takes a shot at the Fed and the IRS in there. Worth a read, if you're interested in her motivations.

We can't accuse her of not caring. At least she's got that.

A month ago she gave props to Ron Paul on MSNBC.

I like Sheehan. What's up with all the sneering against her?? What? Would you rather she had sat at home knitting a sweater than voicing her disdain? At least she's against the war. I'd pick her over Nancy anyday and yes she would be beneficial to Ron Paul.

If this doesn't depict "blithering idiot", then I will never know what does...

Sheehan is a blithering idiot.

Yes that sounds just like some of the mud flung at Dr. Paul.

If she is for returning to the constitution, as she states (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjt3L66_0pk), then I am behind her. If more people run for Congress on the returning to the Constitution and Peace platform it can only help our country.

I think she's in over her head. They chewed her up and spit her out once already. Even getting a boot from the KosKlan set her off. I don't detest her, but I don't think she' strong enough to handle it.

I don't detest her either, but I remain convinced she is pathetic.

Sounds like she'd fit right in with the other members of Congress then.

Nancy Pelosi.

Show me a Democrat (an on the street one) that doesn't hate her right now.

Just what we need, more of the same.

Just what we need, more of the same.

I think that she'd probably be more passionate and serious about her job than most members of Congress are. So that's a positive. She doesn't really seem like someone who could be easily bought and sold, either.
But I don't know.

I think Sheehan would be light years better than Pelosi, if only that she isn't owned by anything but her convictions. Regardless of your views that she is a "blithering idiot" I think I'll stick to mine that she's just a pissed off mom.

And I wish we had legions of them for the past 20 years.

Now THAT is a tough call. At least Cindy Sheehan is still carbon based.

I'd have to vote Cindy over Nancy just to shake that shit up. Nancy Pelosi is a disgrace.

Well, to be honest with you.... PELOSI IS A SNAKE! AND ANYBODY and EVERYBODY should run against her.

She is a socialist, special interest hack, who' agenda IS NOT americas.. Pelosi is completely LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I despise her. -- well, that is a little strong, but certainly i think she is a major component in the degradation of the constitution and bad direction this country is going in...

It would be a terrific message to the republicrats that the gig is up. Work for the people or not at all.

If I was in her district I would vote for her. If she really wants to get back to a "constitutional government" then I would support her for sure. She is definitely better than what we already have.

I don't think any of us can understand her until we've buried a child. Yes, she comes across a little crazy, but I feel very sorry for her. Anyone who runs against Nancy Pelosi would have my vote!

Cindy Sheehan would be preferred over Pelosi but... definitely won't be representing my views, but I'd probably vote for her just to get her in there and causing trouble.

I think Cindy could've at least sounded a bit less air-headed on that interview. I would vote for her over Pelosi, though.
