Call a press conference:

"I know you all thought I was dropping out but..............................................."

That was BRILLIANCE on Hunters part.

We need the world to know that RP is MORE ALIVE than ever.:p

Not only call a press conference, but why not RP announce a Republican invitational showdown debate, to be held on neutral ground with equal time/questions, inviting McCain and Huckabee, the MSM and everyone. RP campaign controls the agenda.

Hold it somewhere like George Mason University. If RP thinks outside the box on this and takes control of the agenda, they cannot continue to marginalize him in the public's eye. This way he can leverage his "outsider" image to control the agenda like a "maverick" should from here on out.

If McCain and Huckabee decline to participate, they'll look like cowards to the public, RP wins and uses the opportunity to spread the message directly to the masses unobstructed.

Thats not true, they have nothing to win - Ron Paul is defeated in their minds.

Great ideas. RP needs to go on the offensive.

(What matters in this case is what's in the voter's minds, and how that can be changed...)

Yes, the only way the media would cover a Ron Paul speech was if they thought he was dropping . This is a brilliant idea.

they would report

"Ron Paul has press conference to drop out of race!"

then find out he is not dropping out and report nothing...

(There is a tipping point at which the media blackout is no longer sustainable because it will start feeding on itself in lost MSM credibility...)

Make sure it's a nice LOOOONG speech. Play it right and we'll get more media coverage in one speech than we have for the whole freakin' campaign. :P
