Hi - This is my first post. It took a couple of days to get signed up for the forum but I wanted to give an update from Blaine. I was in Precinct 2-8 but we were jumbled in with 2-9. I am a delegate (anyone that signed up was taken). This was my first caucus so I don't know what's standard and what's not.
There was no discussion of the candidates or any public comment period. We just wrote our candidates on a slip of paper and then they were taken out of the room to be counted. I don't know who counted them. They announced the count as 15 for Mitt, 9 for Huckabee, 8 for McCain and 4 for Paul (this doesn't match up with the Secretary of State which credits Paul with 14, but I'll let that slide).
I don't know who the other 8 delegates are or who they voted for, but you've at least got me. If anyone is going to the delegate meeting at Mounds View Community Center on Feb 23, drop me a PM.
