Even if there's global warming, there's nothing that can be done. These Dems want to ruin the economy to change the overall temp of the world by .0000001 degrees Celsius by 2100.

Actually, there are things that can be done- that isn't the debate.

The debate is about what and how much should be done, and whether those efforts should be public or private.

We shouldn't swallow the Al Gore line 100%, but we also shouldn't believe all the BS we hear from the prominent right wing AM talk show hosts- most of whom have HIGH SCHOOL (Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and others) diplomas and no understanding of even the rudiments of science.

The latest studies coming from UNAM state that a cooling trend will begin within the next 30 years. UNAM is one of the biggest research institutions in the world.

I loathe Rush Limbaugh and Co., but there IS NO SCIENTIFIC consensus that global warming is all man's fault.

Partly correct. The dems want to ruin the economy but it has NOTHING to do with changing the temp of the world.

They use "global warming" the same way the GOP uses "terror threats" - to get the masses to happily hand over control to them so that they can be the "saviors."

RP accepts that are some valid points about the GW debate, but that any solutions must be managed by the market, not by government regulation and subsidy.

And further, the Al Gore method is put all the onus on the developed countries (lowering their standard of living) without imposing any restriction on the developing countries, such as China. Just another way to redistribute wealth.

Have you read about all the asinine things they are doing in the UK? They tax them on each television, they make them pay 400 pounds to get some kind of monitor on their trash bin to monitor their trash and they're now proposing a 50 pound per day tax on driving in London.

NO! I'm not about to buy into that. I don't even buy into compact fluorescent lights--they contain mercury. I will buy a lifetime supply of incandescent light bulbs before I'll switch.

Great speech in general but...

If he only would have plugged his own campaign more! Huggiebear came right out saying he's not dropping out, RP should've done the same and more.

He should've said he's the only one real conservative candidate, and also why not mention the media blackout? He could have finished with something like...

"You won't be seeing or hearing much of me on the msm, they are ignoring me and saying its now a 2 man race with one clear winner. They must have their own reasons for doing this but they can't fool everybody. I'm here to say that freedom cannot be brushed aside and ignored, I'm still in the race and I am not alone, there are hundreds of thousands that have already voted for me and hundreds of thousands more waiting to, and more joing us every day! They are true patriots and conservatives willing to fight for the return to the constitution, and for the return of real freedom in America and we will continue to fight til the end, there is room for lots more, please join us! See you all on the campaign trail"

Frankly, after hearing his speech I would hardly say he is a candidate serious about winning the presidency.

Just my 2 euros worth

First off, no one with more than a high school education will say that "global warming is all man's fault"- that isn't even up for debate- its also not relevant.

Also, you will never have everyone agree on anything- there will always be someone who disagrees. But it may not be wise to base actions, or lack of action, on the opinion of a tiny minority- the "Flat Earth Society" types will always be there. Not that I'm comparing a university with the lofty credentials of the University of Mexico (I know, thats going to sound sarcastic to some) with the Flat Earth Society.

Okay, I'm going to stop before I piss of the entire nation of Mexico...bailing out now! :)

Not to mention kill millions of people in developing countries. This is what liberals/Marxist do with perfection. Destroy millions of lives, usually the lives of the poor. That chick that DDT banned has the deaths of millions upon millions of Africans on her hands. Of course that beotch is dead so it no bother to her, but thank the gods she saved a few bald eagles.

Debates like this is what makes me just want to donate to Ron Paul and support him by myself and just ignore all the other supporters. I also don't know how such an intelligent man can be a doctor and not believe in evolution and global warming. No matter whether carbon emissions cause global warming or not, the real issue is that companies have no right to dump their carbon on anyone else's land. That's TRESPASSING and it SHOULD be stopped, I hate to give credit to the other side but I have to when they're right.

Dumping your trash on someone else's land raises the world temperature probably by less than .0000001 degrees but you have absolutely no right to do that It has nothing to do with warming, it's about trespassing and invasion.

Does anyone else think Dr. Paul was more than a bit annoyed that his newly appointed economic adviser was somehow swooped by the McCain camp?

Seems to suggest to me that McCain used some underhanded tactics to get the deal made. I mean Luskin was just on Neil Cavuto on Tuesday saying he would vote for Dr. Paul even if he had to write his name in. That's a huge change of opinion in a matter of days...

That's the issue Paul gets no credit for. If his approach to property rights were enforced pollution would be greatly reduced. I'm not a "man made" global warming person but I do consider myself a conservationist.

The difference between Paul and McCain(and the 2 dems) on this issue is McCain wants to monetize pollution by paying off the government, Paul wants to monetize pollution by paying off the people effected.

One is big government, the other is individual liberty. Look for more of that in the future.

First, even if Global Warming could be proved the Federal government has no power to control the climate.
Second, If there is Global warming, It has not been proved that it is caused by man.
Third, I believe it is part of a globalist agenda and global tax.
Fourth, The "science" is questionable.

As a science student, there is no 'absolutely-can't-be-refuted' evidence of global warming. In fact, many of the top scientists of the world, and even the top scientist who proposed the idea, has taken back his word.
