The republican party basically shuns Ron Paul, instead they endorse McCain for president, and now they don't want McCain?

yep..they put their media buddies on the case from the gitgo, and had them repeatedly call the one honorable conservative in the race a "kook," now they're stuck with McCain...which means the GOP top dawgs have once again snookered the GOP dumbmasses at the bottom, and the GOP top dawgs will get Hillary - which is who the GOP top dawgs want.

They don't want Paul because he stands for the things the Republican party has been lying about standing for over the last 20 years.

I don't know that the GOP especially likes McCain, he was just the media darling while all of this has been going down. The media has been switching front runners practically every other day until people started dropping out.

His campaign was so dead in the water before the first primaries there's really no reason for him to even still be in the race, other than free media love and using tax payer money to stay afloat.

Yes the Republican wing of The Party is giving the Democratic wing its turn. Note the odd way in which they appear to have sided behind nominating the worst candidate possible and already they are discussing how they will vote for Hillary (dispite Hillary not yet receiving the nomination). Heck, if I didn't know better, I'd say this whole thing is staged.

In the great modified words of Ron Paul....

So let me get this straight... We borrow 400 delegates from Romney, to give to McCain, who has no chance winning against a democrat, so we can promote conservatism, in a GOP that actually used to stand for something.....

they added one new principle
"do everything in your power, even if it means sacrificing the freedom and lives of many innocent civilians, to find terrorists"

The Republicans have had their eyes closed, their ears covered whenever Ron Paul talks or anyone tells them that the other guys are all big-government neo-cons that will lose to the anti-war Democrat in November...now they've opened their eyes, uncovered their ears and they're saying "what the hell?"

It's sad that they focussed so much on Ron Paul's stance on the war to the point that they elect a candidate who's only "conservative" credentials are that he wants to bomb all muslims half way around the world. They got what they asked for.

Now what they end up with is a Democrat who "supposedly" will end the war in Iraq..PLUS..they get a whole lot of sexy socialist programs to boot.
