It seems like Ron Paul needs some sort of breakthrough in the near future.
While the donations arent as big, we're still getting a LOT of new donors.

Keep in mind a lot of people have maxed out and that makes a big difference in donation rates as well.

Headquarters needs to get its act together! I am very, VERY displeased with the way they are running this campaign. I don't know what is going on so I may be wrong but this seems to be a very second rate run campaign....I hope they are reading this or that this type of feeling gets back to them.

Don't you think that THIS SITE should have the donation box up at the top?
It is also that way on www.dailypaul.com How many people may be wanting to donate and don't because they can't find the donation box on this and other sites?
I thought they've stopped accepting donations until I saw the official RonPaul2008.com site. And I've been following this whole fiasco closely!

Welcome to RPF, who are you supporting?
The rate of donations are not drying up - every day Ron Paul has first-time donors. Yesterday, 76% of donations were first time donors.

The other day, the man came with the truck to fill my propane tank and told me he had heard Ron Paul had dropped out. Perhaps there are a lot of people who think he has dropped out and thus the donation level has dropped accordingly.
I informed the man filling my propane tank, Ron Paul had not dropped out. He then asked why he never hears about him in the news. I told him the news is biased toward who they want to win. He scratched his head and asked why they would be biased. I told him Ron Paul was not in the best interests of those owning the networks. He then agreed with me and continued to fill the tank.

Calling people MF'ers and other names is inconsiderate.
To quote you from the smoking ban thread:
You can pull all kinds of inconsiderate stunts. But there are repercussions.
If you engage in profanity-laden name calling, you will be labeled a troll as a repercussion.

Nobody is dumb enough to not be able to realize that they can go to the official site and donate.

First pacelli: First of all this business of calling everyone a troll is the very heard mentality people here bitch about. It is very frustrating to ask a simple question and get nonsense answers. The word Troll has gotten out of hand with people labeling any and everybody they don't like or disagree with a troll. There should be a name for these witch hunt finger pointers to counter that nonsense.
Okay Feenix.. now to explain something simple to you: I GET IT! I can figure that out. But if you were to understand anything about sales/donations etc.., you would realize that you have to capture the moment!
You have to set things up so when a person want to buy/donate, there is no delaying the process. ANYTHING that does delay it and causing confusion will be reflected in sales/donations. Do you understand? You may be the very genius that you've displayed with your post. But in sales/donations you have to work things so even the most confused among us can easily understand and react as soon as the notion hits them or(remember... what will happen) They will maybe get distracted, change their mind, find they need to spend it elsewhere or just give up all together.
Do you think assembly directions are geared towards people who 'should know' how to put a product together? Can you imagine if manufacturers were to be that presumptuous?
Is that simple explanation sufficient? Do you get it yet?

A lot of us are just tapped out financially too. We haven't given up, we just don't have more money to give for a while.

I think all of us who haven't donated the max, should consider RP's campaign as a monthly payment to an investment account. In other words, figure out where you can cut and commit to a certain amount every month. We've been donating $200.00 a month and will do so until our $4600.00 limit is donated. We just factor it in with the rest of our bills.

The HQ needs to be shaken up very soon, like within days, and fresh, capable, truly loyal people brought in. The incidents with HQ staff reported by grassroots from Alaska, MI, NH... indicate there are some rotten apples in the HQ. If that can't be cleaned up and made to work very quickly, there is no reason to believe that the government and country would be ran any better.

Don't take a few bad apples out on Dr. Paul. Nothing ever runs perfectly 24/7. What have you done towards correcting the situation? Anything?
If you are going to refer to the campaign and to HQ as a microcosm of Dr. Paul's ability to run the country/government, you must first consider that he wouldn't run the country, he's repeatedly stated that. The constitution only allows him to run the executive branch. The president can't be held responsible for every congressman and senator, etc. etc.
Besides, it is OUR job to keep tabs on them. Just as it is our job to keep tabs on our representatives. If there are certain people that need to be held accountable in his campaign, then the grassroots should rise up the way we do against the media.
