Whereas, it is who counts the votes that matters most in elections;

and whereas, straw polls show Ron Paul to be consistently favored across America;

and whereas, Ron Paul must win the U.S. Presidential Election in 2008, whether he be the official Republican Nominee, or is to be Written-In as such on each and every Ballot cast from this day forward for the rest of History:

It is therefore agreed, that WE THE PEOPLE must make this Providential election opportunity count,
by taking back our individual Sovereignty as Citizens of this favored land,
and counting the votes ourselves.

The time is now at hand, and this is nothing less than our solemn duty.

Here is simply how we can, and must, do it, for now, using voter Affadavits (used by We The People over time, these verifiable Affadavits will essentially become the defacto transition to anonymous, verifiable paper Ballots counted in the open, securing the democratic process once again):

From http://www.RonPaulVoteCount.com
(note this goes hand in hand with canvassing, as well as electing delegates for Ron Paul):

Checklist of "Precinct Team" Endeavors if Affidavits Are Delivered to Precinct Team Later by Voters- Note that these are Suggestions only. Adapt as appropriate to your availability of Resources and Volunteers.

1.Check RonPaulVoteCount.com for others potentially interested in forming a Precinct Team.

2.Form the Precinct Team.

3.Spread the word to friends and family, and/or even schedule events (like Precinct Canvassing) to help spread the word that, on Election Day, all Ron Paul supporters should obtain an Affidavit, from either the web site, or some other location (and perhaps by a Precinct Team member handing them out at the Polling Place), and plan to fill out the Affidavit in the manner established by your Precinct Team.

4.Get hold of an Affidavit template, and edit it to be appropriate for use in your precinct/county/state. If possible, have someone experienced in the legal and/or judicial professions review it with you. Post it on your web site.

5.Find out who the County Coordinator RonPaulVoteCount Team Member is for your county, and keep in communication with her/him.

6.Keep in periodic touch with members of other Precinct Teams via the locating mechanisms, and the News and Resources pages at http://www.RonPaulVoteCount.com.

7.Review the materials on Security Issues. (to be posted in the Resource Downloads page at RonPaulVoteCount.com as Elections get closer). Such document is intended to consider items like:
a.Having a Backup Location/Server for Your County Team Website
b.Measures to Prevent Corruption of Your Stack of Affidavits with Incorrect Assertions of Votes Having Been Cast (and therein potentially harming any later close examination of the Affidavits)
c.Others…

8.Make known on your web site, or otherwise (such as a voicemail message to which those who do not have web access/convenience can call), to where Voters can mail, or drop off, their Affidavits (which they may have to get Notarized "on their own", depending on what your Precinct Team has coordinated). Consider a "dropoff" location at the home or work location of a Precinct Team member, or consider establishing a P.O. Box at a nearby Post Office, or in a nearby proprietary mailbox store type business.

9.Prior to Election Day, make all efforts to notify all Ron Paul potential Voters in your precinct, and perhaps even in a wider geographic area such as via radio advertisements, to be aware of the Notarized Affidavits effort. Consider having Precinct Team members posted outside of the Polling Place (and outside of the Electioneering Zone) with signs to notify Voters of the manner by which they can make sure their Ron Paul Vote is counted, by using the Affidavit approach.

10.Appeal to other RonPaulVoteCount members, or Ron Paul Meetup Group members, or other Ron Paul supporters that you know of, for if any one of them is a Notary Public that is willing to donate their services on Election Day, or over the subsequent days, to Ron Paul Voters wanting to have their Affidavits notarized.

11.If a Ron Paul sympathetic Notary willing to donate their services can not be found, consider soliciting an independent (i.e. for-profit) Notary who is willing to make her/himself accessible over the few days after the Election to receive Ron Paul Affidavit Voters. Perhaps coordinate a "discount" in return for spreading the word of that Notary to the Voters (before Election Day), so that such Voters may be able to give that Notary more business than usual. (It is believed that a “normal” cost for a Notary Public signature is on the order of $3 or so, and many proprietary mailbox stores also provide notary service).

12.Consider having a Precinct Team Member (or a Precinct Team Member in a nearby Precinct) become a Notary Public. In some states, the procedure is not very time consuming, and has a relatively minimal cost.

13.On Election Day, or within days after, have all of the Voters who voted for Ron Paul, and obtained an Affidavit of the vote, mail, or deliver, the Affidavit to the predesignated Precinct Team Member. Encourage ALL to attend your Precinct Convention at the close of the election in support of Ron Paul delegates (be they open or stealth - see important procedures for electing/becoming delegates in your specific state).

14.After the Affidavits have all come in, or prior to, get hold of the Election Administrator's results. It is NOT necessary to get Absentee Numbers yet, or Early Voting #s yet. The idea for keeping this all simple is just to compare the # obtained by the Official Election Administrator, with your #s, for the people who voted in that Polling Place on that day.

15.Make sure to get hold of the total # of Voters who voted AT THE POLLING PLACE that day. Get this # before you leave the Polling Place.

16.Make 2 copies of each Affidavit. Keep the 2 copies in separate locations.

17.Compare the #s that you got with what was posted by the Elections Administrator. If the #s are different, take further action. Coordinate with the County Coordinator RonPaulVoteCount Team Member in your county.

February 9th, 2008 by Dan McCarthy

"A few news sources are misreporting Ron Paul’s e-mail from last night. The presidential campaign is not ending, not being suspended, and not even drawing down. It’s slimming down and ramping up — with over twenty states having already voted, we’ve shed staff, and we’re concentrating financial and organization resources on the remaining states. We’re going to the convention, and we’re fighting for every vote and every National Delegate along the way.

Republicans do not want John McCain to be their nominee. He has only been able to become the front-runner because the field was so divided and because he’s a media darling. We can see just how unpopular McCain is in the heartland by his performance in the Kansas caucuses today. Kansans resoundingly rejected the Arizona senator, and McCain’s big wins so far have mostly been in blue states — states he won’t win in November if, heaven forbid, he’s the Republican nominee.

Republicans want and need an alternative. Some people think Mike Huckabee provides an alternative to McCain. But Huckabee, who now tries to sound like Ron Paul when he talks about abolishing the IRS, raised taxes in Arkansas and vastly expanded spending in that state when he was its governor. Huckabee is no alternative at all. Ron Paul, on the other hand, has never voted for a tax increase, never voted for an unbalanced budget or for an unconstitutional war or government program.

At stake here is not just the Republican nomination — which McCain still has not locked up — but the future of the Republican Party and, much more importantly, the future of our liberties. We have to organize in every single state, including the ones that have already voted in the primaries and caucuses, to continue the fight to take back the Republican Party and to ensure that Ron Paul’s principles, the principles of Washington and Jefferson, prevail. For the sake of that cause, Ron Paul’s campaign continues, all the way to the convention."
