We need to treat Feb 9 as an official money bomb day for RP's congressional race.

This race serves as an insurance policy against losing the white house; it would be a total tragedy if RP lost his house seat merely because he's too busy running for president to focus on congressional fund raising. I presume his neo-con opponent is counting on that possibility!

And recall, any money spent in TX on the congressional run increases awareness of the presidential bid as well. So that's money very well spent, imo.

Please help spread the word! Get myspace, facebook, meetup, and youtube involved. Email all RP supporters. We really need to get his congressional race funded, and then focus on winning both races in TX. We only have a few days.

Good points!

I'm not sure if we need a specific day to money bomb (others here may disagree), but we would do well to keep this on the front burner.

Apparently the deadline is Feb 9, so anyway you look at it we basically need a money bomb over the next couple days.

Whatever it takes to get RP his $400K, we need to get it done. You'd expect his army of 100,000 would pull this off in a heart beat, but so far he's only got $148 K. Apparently not enough folks are aware of the situation yet.

RP losing his house seat after this magnificent run is unacceptable! He simply has too many supporters to allow it.

Wow...I didn't realize that, I thought they had until later in the month?

I will support a third party run. I am not particularly interested in encouraging RP to continue in the GOP. I think we need to make it clear to Ron paul that we would greatly prefer that he abandon the GOP given their treatment of him and us.

Trevor claims that the campaign wants the money by Feb 9:

The actual vote is March 4 I believe, so you can see why they need the money fast to get his ads run.

I don't see why it's a good idea for him to change parties for the Congressional run.
Let's hope he can focus on the house election before he needs to be worrying about changing anything with respect to the presidential bid.

Yep, it would be a disaster if this guy won RP's seat.

Donations are still only trickling in, unfortunately.
