Hamadeh....can you take an image from this site http://ronpaulmosaic.com/ad

And make it more usable (not so big) and put "We The People" (no quotes) in an
old constitution like font centered in the top of the image?

Make it stand out, but not overpowering please.

I like Hamadeh's font better than the old english font -- it suggests the past instead of yells it. It has the "human touch" which is what this campaign actually runs on.

I'd just like to say that watching how this ad has been coming together, on such short notice, has demonstrated for me more than anything the power of the Ron Paul grassroots movement. Keep up the good work, gents.

There needs to be some sort of explanation.

1000-points-of-fright's graphic is real good. It just needs a some text at the bottom

1000-points-of-fright

Way ahead of you buddy. Depending on the dimension of the paper, you should be able to put some text above or below the frame of the graphic. Unless you want to have the text superimposed on the graphic.

Is this going to be full color or black and white?

Why don't you handle this????

The ad sizing is on the NEWSPAPER post.. like 11 2/3 x 22 --> go look.

Do you have print experience... see this one..

yep. 150 dpi 3529x4260 RGB color. I can increase the dpi if necessary and convert it to CMYK color depending on the paper's requirements.

If you guys can get me exactly what the paper's graphics/ad dept requires (dpi, CMYK or RGB, dimensions, preferred file format, etc) I'll get cracking on this. How soon do you need it?

If any of you have any suggestions on what the text should be or any specific points you want mentioned, I'm all ears. Do you want something pithy and patriotic or an enumeration of his principles. Or maybe both?

HOW SOON CAN YOU GET IT TO ME?

The sizes are as follows:

Full Page (6 columns (11 ¾ inches wide.) x 21 ½ inches tall)

The colors are CMYK

This is for NEWSPAPER..... Maybe you can lighten the background a bit..

Here is a HIGH reoslution of the constitution: http://www.archives.gov/national-archives-experience/charters/charters_downloads.html

Just wanted to throw my two cents in...

I'd rather NOT have the constitution image blended in with the Ron Paul image... I think it's too busy with both images and detracts from the Ron Paul image.

I DO like the Constitution style font though, with "We the People..."

Ok, here's my concern. I think slantedview might be right. Not because it'll detract from the image, but because the printers might fuck it up. Especially since we aren't familiar with this newspaper's reproductive capabilities and we're pretty much at the 2 minute warning. If it were a glossy magazine I'd say ok, but I don't trust newsprint resolution. If we had time to mess around and make sure it gets done right, I'd go for it cuz quite frankly I think it looks pretty fuckin' good so far.

Perhaps we better consider the simple mostly black and white design. How bad can they fuck it up at the printers, right?

But it's up to you guys. Remember, we'll still have it in reserve for another time when we have a bit more pep time.

ok.. points of light.. are you experienced with PDF and illustrator and print.. once we finalize it (the one i am working on), we need some to make it camera ready and make sure it all "aligns up and looks even and such"..

I was playing around with 1000-points-of-fright's idea:

http://kelsonmedia.com/ronpaul/ronpaul_ad.jpg

I have to get some sleep, so wouldn't have time to complete, but thought you might like the look.

I think the mosaic pops more on the black and white, and the parchment edges are enough to make it look like the constitution without the yellow.

I just took the constitution image and desaturated it, then made a copy of it and dragged the second one down to fill the page.

I'd "gray out" all the constitution text and brighten it a little so you can put your own text on top of it in black.

I thought I'd post what I had in case it helps any...

Good luck!

Excellent 1000-points-of-fright --- we just need a format change/text update and that will be PERFECT for the newspaper. Great job.

IMO we really need to add a "disclaimer" type thing at the bottom. Something along the lines of "This ad was created and funded by a concerned group of American citizens; Not affiliated with the Official Campaign"

It's stunning! :)

You know, I've heard the Campaign's Iowa radio ads (on the website), and I've heard the grassroots one. And I like the grassroots one better!

And this ad--well, it's incredible. It's one example of what you can get when people come together and work towards something that matters. And I think it's really illustrative of the difference between putting something in the hands of the people vs. trying to solve all problems through central economic planning (government).

People are powerful, and can come up with way more in the way of creativity, energy, etc., than the government on its own ever could.
