How Dirt Can Protect You Against Disease (http://www.redorbit.com/news/health/1243025/how_dirt_can_protect_you_against_disease/)

In all, 20,000 adults in this country are prone to allergies, some of which could be potentially life-threatening reactions to animals, bee stings and foods such as peanuts. Add in the 470,000 asthma sufferers here the condition also affects up to 45 per cent of our children and its very worrying.

Previously, researchers focused mainly on allergies, asthma and eczema. Numerous studies show that children raised on farms illnesses?are less likely to get these diseases, either because they inhale all kinds of toxins or drink raw milk packed with bugs.

Youngsters raised with cats or dogs also seem to be protected.

I believe it. We've gone and weakened everyone through sterile environments and a lot of chemical irritants.

Getting hepatitis A (which is relatively harmless) may actually prevent/cure asthma.

Read about it here: http://www.lpch.org/newsEvents/NewsReleases/cleanlinessHepatitisAsthma.html

I spent my childhood hitting two rocks together on a large stump outside my house (no joke, I spent hours a day out there) and have to get weekly allergy shots or my face goes red and I start to get nosebleeds on a daily basis, generally in inconvenient times.
