We vote for our representatives. When I say that we vote, I don't mean casting ballots, I mean with money. The media corporations need us more than we need them, but we still fund their propagation. We elect the majority by funding these corporations that instruct us on right and wrong. There isn't anything we can do against them, legally, because the corporations are exercising their freedom of speech. Just like the civil rights movement, we've got to act peaceably with our resistance. We've got to make sure that the message gets out that we disagree with how our media representatives use propaganda to influence the majority. We are a Republic, but the liberties that are protected by the contract that is our constitution are being slowly removed by the majority. When the majority takes over, we become a democracy, and soon after tyranny takes over.

The journalism of today is what I like to call political prejudice. Phrases like "you can't win" are proof that main stream media is prejudging candidates and marginalizing them accordingly. There is no longer choice in our Republic, there is only majority rule. Those who have the majority, or influence the majority, make the rules, and choose our leaders.

There is an organization that attempts to keep journalism in check, it is called the Project for Excellence in Journalism. They have basic ethics of journalism spelled out on their site, and measure things like political exposure, war propaganda, and several other things related to journalism in our time. In one of their most recent analysis, this project measured the amount of face-time/name-time that each candidate had received the week leading up to super Tuesday. In the report of the results they leave out candidates that are still working towards getting elected, and have had their name mentioned during that week. Why has a project that strives for excellence in journalism marginalized a viable candidate, seemingly going against the basic ethics of journalism. When prejudice takes center stage, then its propaganda and no longer journalism. You're no longer attempting to inform people of facts and current events, and more attempting to influence people to ensure the propagation of the machine.

This project has outlined principles of journalism, but goes against those principles when attempting to study, and report on journalism. This project exists with great intentions, but seems to promote unethical behavior in journalism by going along with the unprincipled main stream media and marginalizing their analysis of candidate exposure. So if you're slated to ensure that there is excellence in journalism and you go right along with the unprincipled and unethical ways of what the political propaganda prejudice is doing, then you're no longer attempting to better society with your project, you're now trying to influence the majority with your project so that the rules can be chosen by you, and our leaders can be chosen by you.

We want our freedom back. From the words of Ronald Reagan, "We will not use our friendship to impose on their sovereignty, for our own sovereignty is not for sale." That sovereignty has been sold, the purchaser of that sovereignty are the proprietors of the main stream media corporations. Stand up for freedom, and use your depreciating dollar to speak out against those who choose to marginalize our choices, who choose to hold us back by informing us what they believe is best for us. Use what influence you can to encourage people to stop shopping with their advertisers.
