We have to have a majority of delegates in 5 states to even participate in the brokered convention.

How can we do this?

Which states are they?

we can't. write the campaign and as for a third party announcement before it's too late, or just give up. those are our options. like it or not... it's fact.

We have to have a majority of delegates in 5 states on SEPTEMBER 1! These beauty contests are basically meaningless. If Mitt or Hick drop before then, their delegates are up for grabs.

Can't they just give their delegates to McWar?

US Territories count as states in the primary election. They have delegates as well. If we can pick up those (and fly under the radar), we still have a chance.

If Mitt drops out by the end of the month then the delegate situation in states like Nevada, Alaska, North Dakota, Maine and Minnesota (five right there plus Hawaii become much more fluid. Mitt's focused mostly on winning straw polls to show he's a viable candidate (although losing California puts an end to that and so long as Huckabee stays in he's finished. Hope you enjoy being HHS Secretary governor) and their camapaign is not worried too much about delegate allocation. We have people in these states running for delegate slots and need to continue onward. We just won't know until probably until the middle of June if we have a majority in five states.

Badger you are correct. These are but beauty contests. And we all need to become delegates. Delegates do not decide the states until around June. So when they meet is when the fun starts and since the economy is looking real bad very soon we should get 5 states then possibly a whole lot more as I do not think their where many states a candidate won with over 50%. Which means we will have unbound delegates at state conventions all over around June.
