According to my math and my (limited) understanding of the state caucus system, Ron Paul currently has about 26 pledged delegates from 6 state caucuses, along with a few other opportunities. These are:
Iowa - 2 Delegates
Nevada - 4 Delegates
Maine - 7 Delegates (ronpaul2008.com)
West Virginia - 3 Delegates (ronpaul2008.com)
Alaska - 5 Delegates (16.67% of 26)
North Dakota - 5 Delegates (21.28% of 23)
Total: 26 Pledged Delegates
Other opportunities for delegates:
Louisiana - what's the deal here? 47 delegates up for grabs, we at least have a few of them.
Minnesota - ~6 Delegates (15.56% of 41), but it's just a straw poll, delegates chosen later
Colorado - again, delegates chosen later
The remaining 20ish states to vote (of course)
Any of the 463 unpledged delegates
Not saying this is good or bad, just trying to get a good idea of where we stand. Please post corrections, etc if you know whats up. Thx! - Chris
edit: thanks for the catch, hueylong
