Dear Jim,

Are you still as upset as I am?

First, the LA GOP violated their own rules and issued the official "call" for their caucus and state convention on December 17th , instead of October 1st . In this call, the party set a deadline of November 30^th for registering Republican to participate in the caucus. Normally, a deadline is a future event-- not something that had already passed more than two weeks earlier.

After this, the deadline to file as a delegate was arbitrarily extended after Ron Paul supporters filed a full slate in each congressional district. This was doubtlessly done to dilute the vote of Ron Paul supporters at the caucus.

And to add insult to injury, the LA GOP used an old voter registration list at the caucus, forcing literally hundreds to cast provisional ballots and throwing the results of 5 of the 7 congressional districts in doubt. But this did not stop the party from preemptively declaring John McCain the winner of the LA caucus.

Now, because of the uproar caused by the botched caucus process, there are some in the LA GOP who are considering tossing out the entire caucus results and awarding delegates to candidates based on the results of the Feb. 9 primary! This would effectively undo all the hard work done by thousands of Ron Paul supporters throughout Louisiana.

Some have asked what they can do about this whole mess. As you know, our campaign has filed an official contest with the LA GOP. While we pursue this issue, there is a very important thing all our Louisiana supporters can do: GET OUT THE VOTE ON FEBRUARY 9 .

We need to send a message to the GOP establishment that we don't appreciate the way our campaign and our candidate have been treated. We need to let them know that we don't appreciate the attitude that party rules are only to be followed when they benefit the establishment's choice and hurt the people's choice.

The best way to send this message is by dragging all your friends and family members to the polls on February 9^th to vote for Ron Paul.

To vote, you have to have been registered Republican by Jan. 9 .

If you qualify under this rule, then make sure you vote on Saturday! If you don't qualify under these rules, find people who do qualify and get them to the polls!

Many of you were unable to register in time to participate in the January 22nd caucus. Now's your chance to let your voice be heard. On Saturday, Feb. 9, let's strike a blow for Freedom and give Ron Paul a great victory in Louisiana!

See you at the polls on Saturday!

Why should they throw the towel? They should keep fighting until a winner is declared. We picked up 6 official delegate so far tonight and we have secured many other delegates in case there is a brokered convention. We just have to make sure McCain doesn't get the nod. Although its starting to look that way.
