I am not defending my state, as in the government. My state as a geographical place is wonderful. Our economy is easily the best in the nation, despite all of the taxes (which actually aren't even close to the worst in the country). Many, many of the people that live here are also wonderful.

Maybe if anyone really does act arrogant or superior it is because they are tired of being stereotyped. Everyone judges a whole state on a few crazy people in Hollywood.

Actually people in Iowa are very nice. It was a huge change from Chicago where I lived most of my life. You really notice it when you get on a plane in California and get off in Iowa. Night and day. And saying that you are the most important state is pretentious. No doubt about it.
