Because they know he is a man of his word. Thats why they're always like "100% sure? promise? etc etc"

They are scared if he runs 3rd party, and they were trying to find out if he would, or at least get him to say that he won't.

Also they realize he is running in a party that associates any decent from the Iraq war as terrorism.

We could probably get more votes in Democratic primary.

It doesn't matter if he runs 3rd party or just says "Vote for me anyway"

Either way the GOP gets it's ass kicked.

Notice McCain's strongest showings are in blue states. This will mean exactly nothing in November. He is also the one republican who would be worse than Bush.
