When you file a police report isn't the information on that report supposed to be confidential? What I'm getting at is, say you repeatedly file a police report about vandalism on your property and all of a sudden the vandalism repeatedly stops but no one was charged. Wouldn't that indicate that the person or persons doing the vandalism knew there was a police report or and increase in police presence? Wouldn't that indicate some form of illegal dissemination of information from the police department to the criminal?

What are Ron Paul's thoughts on privacy and it's potential abuse by law enforcement? We all know the police would never violate a person's privacy but what if it came to that?
