When I read snippets of Obama, I think I could stand him as President.

When I watch/hear him, I want to bash my head against the wall.

But at least he'd make us feel good while we go bankrupt.

Just because Obama talks well and seems nice doesn't mean he'd be a good president. He is pretty much the exact opposite of RP on so many issues.

Obama would be very bad for liberty. :(

I don't think he's crooked, at least. Unfortunately, he's totally convinced of all government all the time.

Not sure how much better that is.

Obama is a sad case for me.

He started off talking a good game.. then promptly pulled a 180° on the only issues that I really agreed with him on. Iraq, and the Patriot act.

What does color have anything to do with it? Let's talk about the man's beliefs. Thats what concerns me.

Thats pretty much what the general election consenus would be. would you rather see someone dive the country into bankruptcy by spending away... OR would you rather see someone driving the country into bankruptcy by warring us into it?

I don't mind a black man (or woman for that matter) if they stand for the good of the country.
I expect:
experience, which Obama lacks
Leadership, which Obama lacks
Honesty which they ALL lack
A proven track record of working for the interest of the people...all the people.

Not the cry for war for the good of the country BS, I mean somebody with the same mindset as RP, or very close.

There are many very capable black people in this country who would do a fine job as president, and I'd vote for them in a heartbeat if they were honest, sincere and dedicated.

Obama is sadly not capable of meeting the criteria.

Barack Obama is white and Dick Cheney's cousin. (No I'm not kidding!)

Speaking of the show 24, you HAVE to look at Penn Jillette's 5 minute video about Barak's campaing and the relation to 24

It really doesn't matter at this point.

They could put a bag a dog poo on fire up against McCain and win. Seriously. Look at the turnout numbers. The democrats are beating the HELL out of the republicans in voter turnout. The republicans do not stand a chance.

Perhaps if Ron Paul were the nominee, then there would have been chance. But anyone else pretty much guarantees an absolute crushing defeat of the republican party.

Actually, check that. It's clear the republican party is not the republican party anymore. It's neocon party, or fascist party, whichever you prefer. Ron Paul is the republican party.

He is not really black. He is multicultural. I find it so weird that everyone calls him one thing even though he is not that. In fact in his childhood he was rarely living in areas with a lot of African Americans or around black people.

But he sure is getting a lot of votes for this "issue".

And like others in this thread, think he is the best on the Democrats side.

Honestly, I think I would tear up if Obama wins. One tear for his symbolic victory over America's racist past, and a few more tears for how much my taxes will be going up....
