When ALL the primaries and caucuses are done, I will start working on moving to whatever state he does best in.

I hope it's Alaska.

I think Montana will do very well. There is a good movement up there.

I am sure he will do well in Alaska but I am hoping for a good place in Montana also.

I still have another year as a film student, and though I hope to leave college with a solid plan to "make it," I'm always wondering what should happen if I bomb completely. If that should happen, I'll also be going to the most Paulian state of the union. Montana and Alaska both seem quite appealing.

And for those thinking Hawaii: it's beautiful and the people are wonderful, but it's expensive. And it's getting pretty overpopulated (at least Honolulu is).

I met someone from the free state project that moved from Montana to New Hampshire. I always thought that was a mistake. We can not compete with boston move ins

I've already moved to Montana :)

Wasn't someone saying that Costa Rica is a pretty free country? I don't know much about their government. But I may consider moving there.. ;)

I believe you need $100,000 to get in the door...similar to Belize and Panama. Guess they don't want any deadbeats...;)

So far it is Nevada I thought, and LA we will find out popular vote Feb 9.

I'm hoping it's Alaska too because it seems like a cool place to live.

Sean David Morton predicted that Ron Paul will become Governor of Texas.

The Republic of Texas is only a member of The Union by a treaty that must be renewed EVERY YEAR. It's simply an administrative formality, but if the treaty isn't renewed, Texas then becomes a sovereign Republic by default.

I could picture Ron Paul not renewing the treaty.

It should be Alaska, realistically: most people there are already very independent, it's not on the mainland so little federal intrusion and no concern of getting squeezed out by other people.

You don't need $100,000 to get in the door. LOL , but the government is much more socialist than the US. There is no free enterprise in telecommunications so all your phones and internet are government based (this might be old info, its been awhile since I've been there).

On the upside, if you're a peace lover, they have NO MILITARY and are similar to Switzerland in that regard. They figure some friendly neighbor would come help them if they are in trouble. So instead of spending money on the military they put it into education which makes them one of the most highly educated countries in Central America. Most everyone who has gone through school speaks great English.

Very cool place, but the government is very good old boy two party (worse than ours if you can imagine it).

I live in Montana and I would love to move to Alaska if the opportunity presented itself. Alaska rocks.
