I say in 10 minutes they will announce a winner with 2% reporting...and it will probably be McCain. We all know that they really shouldn't do it like that but they will...place your bets now

EXIT POLLS!!!!

How many times is this going to come up? The news networks know the results of the exit polls HOURS before the actual polls are closed. Of course they know who is going to win. It's simple statistics people.

Do you guys understand basic statistics and probability? Obama probably won the exit polls in a landslide. Not too hard to figure out that he won the state. The Republican race will take longer to figure out because the exit polls probably showed Romney, Huckabee, and McCain very close.

I helped exit poll all day in a Cobb County precinct, and yes, Obama won by quite a bit. Hate to say it, but it's true.

They will be "calling" states for different candidates to try to affect other votes. CNN already called Georgia for Obama based on exit polls. This isn't news...this is a fcking joke.

True, you could lie, but STATISTICS show that most people don't lie. Thus the media can rely on them. So they do mean SOMETHING. A lot actually.

According to our exit polls, I believe Romney won for the Republicans.

Jesus Christ. They have always done this. Obama won Georgia in a landslide. Probably by 30+%. It's not that hard to figure out. They aren't trying to effect other votes. Polls close in most other places in an hour or two.

But on a national broadcast, I believe they should be more responsible and be clear and disclose each time that they are projecting their winners based on exit polls.

only 10% were 18-29!(3% were 18-24) Youth Vote is our strength I had thought...Guess we wont be doing all that well tonight in GA.

Well, still got the NW and upper mid-west of the country to go. I think we will do good out there.

Obama is a Democrat, and they haven't figured out the Republicans yet.

2% is a VERY LARGE sample when it comes to polling. Normally they only poll 600 to 1000 votes nationwide. Normally a nationwide poll size is 0.0003%. (1000/300000000)

Provided the sample is well distributed across all polling stations, you can confidently call and election with 2%.

Here's an NPR show about polling.

He is getting close toe 80% of the vote in exit polling...I don't think it is crazy to call this one.
