Popular vote doesn't win an election. See: US Presidential Election in 2000.

Uh yeah, thanks for that, but the question was "did we not get even a single percentage of popular vote in WVA?"

What happened was you needed 50% for a win therefore in the 1st round of voting Ron Paul came in 4th and was dropped. Mitt was leading over Huck, McCain, and Paul so the Paul group brokered a deal with Huck to get 3 delegates of the 18. McCain's supporters also didn't want Mitt to get the delegates and they also voted for Huck to stop Romney.

ron paul lost the first round of voting at the convention in w. virginia, therefore, he was
eliminated. rp's people made a gentlement's agreement with huckabee to swing the vote, in
the second round of voting, huckabee's way and, in return, get 3 of the delegates. therefore and
technically, paul got no votes in the second round and that is what CNN is reporting.

Yes, they are choosing to report whatever stat makes Ron Paul look lowest. 0 delegates? Lets talk about that. 5% of the straw poll? Let's talk about that one. Majority of the delgates, popular vote, and taking the entire state? Let's talk about who finished 2nd 3rd and 4th, as well as another state for a bit

technically, ron paul doesnt have the delegates. what needs to happen is that 3 of 18 delegates that huckabee technically won have to resign. then, it is up to huckabee to choose who he wants to replace those 3 delegates. this is where the agreement comes in. huckabee agreed to replaced 3 of his delegates with ron paul delegates. but i doubt this will happen today.
