OK, I am pretty sure I understand how this works.

The three delegates still count for Huckabee because they are BOUND to vote for him in the first round of the national convention.

But because they are Ron Paul delegates, in later rounds they are free to vote for Ron Paul.

Since everything we are doing is depending on it going into later rounds of voting, this was a smart deal

However, the bad news is that Ron Paul does NOT have those three delegates in his column. They MUST vote for Huckabee in round 1 and they show up and will be reported as "for Huckabee". As best as I can determine, this is what actually happened in WV.

OK this is pissing me off - people in ten threads are all confused about what happened, I keep bumping this thread and it is getting ZERO reads! Gee, I guess I didn't make an "interesting enough" topic title!

Are they still bound to Huckabee if the convention is brokered, though? I mean, unless Huck takes 51% they can vote for whoever they want? Is that correct?
