A deal was made that if Ron Paul supporters voted for Huckabee in West Virginia's Republican State Convention, Paul would receive 3 of the 18 national delegates.

This is good because it helps him win in other states. We need it divided as possible at this point, we don't want a sweep.

But what you won't hear is how Huckabee just now on CNN said nothing about Ron Paul. If it were not for Pauls supporters (and McCains) backing Huckabee, Romney would have taken all the delegates and Huckabee and Paul would have gotten none. Huckabee had more votes so a deal was made, we support Huckabee and take the win and 18 delegates away from Romney and Huckabee gives us 3 delegates. But on CNN he said NOTHING and then BACKED McINSANE if he were to get the nomination.

Honestly people do a little damn research before you post things.

West Virginia's caucus eliminated Ron Paul in it's first round of voting.

As the second round begins, it looks like Romney will take the 50% required to win.

McCain's people (there weren't many of them) vote for Huck, in order to spoil a Romney win.

Dr. Paul's 10% make a deal with Huck to put him over the top and take the win, in exchange for 3 national convention delegates.

Huck takes the win in the state (muddling the field for us), and we pick up 3 national convention delegates.

Well played, Dr. Paul.

Do you have a source for the "three delegates" deal?

Don't expect any favors. Who has done Ron a favor thus far? This is all on us.

it's a winner-take-all state, but we made a deal to guarantee 3 delegates. it's brilliant :)

The three delegates don't go in Ron Paul's delegate column though - they stay in Huckabee's. They can just vote for RP in later rounds at the national convention.

I wonder if any one thought to tell Huckabeen - We are either going to ruin this country in the ground on the slow path or the fast track, so we might as well get it over with quick and bankrupt the nation ASAP so - 5 delegates Huck or all to McCain for 0! Wonder which way Huck would have went then?

You would figure as a so called Christian Conservative, Hollier Than Thou, he would acknowledge that the win would not have been possible without Paul. He is such a Scumball, I don't know what Hucks army sees in him. Man they are a gullible breed!!!
